Are there any leatherworking items needed to complete recipes for other professions?

For example, leatherworkers need iron buckles to make most belts and I'm always buying them through AH. There are also several items that require luck potions or potions of swiftness etc. that I'm assuming comes from alchemists. Bolts of linen/wool/silk as well.

These items are always in short supply and I'm wondering if there's a leatherworking equivalent. Armor patches perhaps?

In blacksmithing we need Green Leather Armor - http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=4255

To make Green Iron Hauberk - http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?source=live;witem=3844

That is all I know of, although you will not make any money off of it, but good luck

Armor patches can be used by any class. You can make Gaurdian gloves, which BSs use for Truesilver Gauntlets, Green Leather Armor is used in their Green Iron Hauberk. Hillman cloaks are popular for the quest in Southshore that gives the Yeti Fur Cloak.

Check out the links to left, got to the bottom, find Trade Skills... By trade and choose leather working and browse through the items. If they are used in something there will be a drop menu labeled "Component in" and you will see who needs it for what and how many.

Not a recipe, but a quest. Hillman's Cloak is needed for Bartoli's quest in Southshore. But on my server it doesn't sell for much more than what you would get for the mats on the AH.

Of course, the fact that it sells for a profit at all is a nice change of pace. Smiley: yippee

In Alchemy, the only things that are produced by other professions (other than Herbalism) are Metal Bars for Transmutes (Mining) and Dream Dust for Greater Arcane Protection Potion (Enchanting).

Tailoring requires items used through other professions quite frequently.

Tailoring requires leather (skinning), dusts (enchanting), herbs (herbalism) metal bars (mining) and sometimes even forged items (blacksmithing).
