Leatherworking 225-300Follow

I have just taken up Leatherworking and was needing some help on a couple questoins I have.

1. Most PL guides say to do the Tribal Patterns from 225-300. Do I have to specialize in Tribal in order to get access to these patterns or can I purchase them? I am a rogue and was interested in doing Elemental for the Primalstrike gear.

2. If I do have to specialize in Tribal, am I still able to change to Elemental after I hit 300 LW? How much would it be to change as I have heard 50g or 100g as the cost.

3. I am currently 230 in LW. Does anyone have any advice as to get to 300 the fastest? I have a good guide from 300 on.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I dunno, IMHO you don't really NEED a specialty. I'm LW345, never picked one up, and never felt slowed down in my leveling by that decision. I'm feral druid so I want the primalstrike set someday too, but below that the Elemental patterns didn't interest me enough to grab the specialty. When I get to 70 I'll I'll BLAZE (or buy my way) through the requisite gathering quest and grab the specialty lickety split.

If you pick Tribal you can never switch to Elemental, unless--I think--you completely bail on your leatherworking and start from 0.

make armor kits, and nightscape items, and you'll get 300 fast enough. you could make the mail items also but since they need additional mats, it won't necessarily be the fastest even if they're nice to make to sell.

The post below suggests the cost is 25g to unlearn a specialization. I'd like to know because I piced elemental and I was thinking about changing once I get higher level on my druid. I also heard something about the ability to learn recipes with the other specializations if you have the expansion.

I was just wandering, how much do you think it would cost to lvl leatherworking 263 to 300 buying all mats.
