I was a FFXI guy. The Alts on FFXI cost you money in real life. So - The normal fee is paid for your main. Then, each Alt there after costs you a nominal add-on fee.

Is the same true with WOW?

I ask here because I'm holding a ton of MATs for future smelting, but I'm running out of room.

Thanks

you can have up to 10 characters on the same server. Blizzard will not charge you any extra for these "alts".

In addition to allowing you to have 10 alts per server, you are allowed to have up to 50 in all. So as long as you keep to 10 per server, you could have nearly every race/class combination if you so chose.

P.S. I played FFXI since US release. I payed a LOT because I had about 6 mules and my wie's account had 4 mules. We were paying nearly $50 a month for the game. With WoW, we now pay $30 a month for both accounts and each have over 15 characters.

Welcome to the World of Warcraft :)
