What's the most profitable zone for Herb/mining?Follow

In a nutshell what zone provides the best bang for the buck of a once around the perimeter/farming?

My input is Felwood. It usually gives me 1/2 a stack to a stack of thorium, mithril. Herb wise it yield plaguebloom, gromsblood, dreamfoil and mountain silversage.

Hit it twice you usually can get a stack.

Any other zones worth mentioning, any better?

My opinion for herbing is probably shadowmoon valley. The nightmare vine and nightmare seeds are always (at least on my server) in high demand. You also can get various other herbs in the zone that also sell well.

For mining its easy, nagrand. There is so much adamantite its crazy. The only problem is, every other miner already knows nagrand is the best place so sometimes you can get tapped out.

I'd say Zangramarsh for herbalism, just due to the sheer volume of herbs.

Looks like you're talking only pre-70, to me. Felwood is probably the best place on Azeroth for high-level pre-BC herbs. The plaguelands also have a lot, but they're obviously surrounded by tougher mobs. Winterspring happens to be the only zone with icecaps, but they aren't worth much anymore, I don't think. I still like them for purification pots.

When you hit around 60, Zangarmarsh has a ton of herbs, and most of them drop a repeatable quest item that's worth nice gold on its own.

Later on you'll need to go to netherstorm for netherbloom, and SMV for nightmare vines. Those are the highest selling herbs in outland, but they're also harder to find.

Winterspring has some nice nodes that pop up every once and a while. I suggest getting Gatherer so you can track. When you get 70 go to the outlands.

Nothing different than what was already said, but something to add. Zangar is nice for an herbalist because you can also kill Bog Lords and skin them for some good loot, like ancient lichen and some other outland herbs. Even the grey trash that you collect from them vendors for good money.

There's also the cave down south that has three or four ghost mushrooms in it each trip through. Can't remember the name.

Depends on server simply because the more populated the nodes, the more people will be farming them (i.e. Nagrand). This is why I like SMV.

Pre-BC, I'd say Azshara, because nobody goes there.
