The fish barrel has some nice recipe drops for fish you can fish around Kara and sell for nice buff food. It also has often the vendorscale fish which vendors for around 6g, and is very nice "vendor trash".
i hear you there...for sure there are recipies that only drop in the fish i could be missing out on...but i dont fish as a skill and never plan on it.---its boring as hell and not worth my game time, and since i dont fish, those reipies dont do much for me.
i will probably flip from meat to fish till i get the recipies i want to. 6g venddor trash would be nice..but all i have been getting is barrbed trout or soemthing sucky.
if i got stormchops and cake i would be a happy camper though.
anyone have a count on the recipies that drop.

Ah if you don't fish then you should probably choose the meat box. FIshing is one of my main things I do every day together with dailys and it nets me between 30 and 50g a day, so it's not bad. But then again I like it, and I know that most people don't. Better for me, because that means less competition for nice fishing pools :D.

Actually, those sell really well to raiding hunters who want to squeeze every last little bit of DPS they can get. Hell, if I didn't get the recipe within the first few days, I'd buy those things twice a week. They're extremely easy to farm out in hellfire, but they probably sell for 55s-1g each.

Finally got the Bloodfin recipe yesterday, which completes the set for me - all 6 recipes :)
The fish barrel has given me the Bloodfin and Skullfish recipes, and the meat box gave me cake, stormchops, a talbuk recipe and Kibler's Bits. I think the Bits recipe can also come from the fish barrels, though.
From now on I think I'll be getting the meat box every day. I have 7 toons that could use clefthoof and talbuk meat to get from 325-350ish, and all the meat you need for the dailies can come from meat boxes.
