Transmutation Master Glitch?Follow

About 5 months ago I transfered servers. When I was on my old server normally I would get atleast 1-2 procs every 2 weeks. Ever since I transfered servers I have not see 1 proc and I transmute once a day. Simple math says Ive done over 150 transmutes and not seen 1 proc.

I talked to the GM's about this (like that ever helps) and they say its working as intended.

Anyone else having any problems with an incredibly low or non-existent proc rate for whatever reason?

I'll give you the answer that anyone more knowledgeable than myself will give: you're having bad luck. It happens, you've been unlucky, eventually it will break. Sorry it's not working out for you right now :-(

It is a percentage chance to happen (same proc rate as all other masteries, low) and if you know anything about math then you know with chance you can have 20 in a row, or go 1000 without one.

I used to proc like crazy all the time, nowadays when I brew up elixirs I can go 30+ without a single x2 proc, let alone anything higher.. I feel like it's been nerfed, though I'm sure I'm probably just overreacting, it just feels that way, you know?

Chalk it up to just bad luck on the draw...our raid potions master the other night was making Super Mana Pots... he went 2,4,3,4,3,4,4,4,3,2,1,3. Something insane like that...I almost fell over :) hehe Hopefully your luck will soon come back around and you'll get some procs :)

Taken directly from WoWwiki Alchemy Section:

"Being specialized gives you a chance to create an extra 1 to 4 (for a total 5) items while crafting in the field you have selected. For example, a Master of Potions may be able to craft more than one [Super Mana Potion] for the same material cost as one.

While the exact percent is not known, people have speculated that this ability can happen as often as 10-25% of the time. A frequently cited figure in the official World of Warcraft Professions Forums is 15%.

One theory is that each extra item created also has a 15% chance to create its own extra item. So, when creating an item, you have approximately a 15% chance of creating two items instead of one, 2.3% chance to create three items instead of one, a 0.3% chance of creating four items instead of one, and a 0.1% chance of creating five items instead of one.

I think there was a blue post about this, a guildy just linked it to me, they said that the transmutation mastery is not working correctly and only primal mights are proccing multiple transmutes.

If you have a 1 in 100 chance of it proccing, and it doesn't proc for a year, you still have a 1/100 chance.

Anobix is correct. There is a glitch right now with transmute master only. There is a much lower proc chance (see almost none) with transmute except for primal might.

Taken from mmo-champion:

Sad day for alchemists, you're officially bugged.

As of the 2.3 content patch, there's currently an issue with Transmutation Mastery by which the percentage chance to receive additional results from transmutations — aside from Transmute: Primal Might — is lower than the intended value. This is likely contributing to the dearth of procs you've observed, and I'd like to offer my apologies for any consternation that has arisen as a result of the discrepancy. I'm happy to report that this matter should be resolved in a future patch, but your continued patience in the interim is appreciated.

I'd say it's partly made up for with crazily easy transmute discoveries.

I got one the last times I made primal waters and manas for my future alchemist's stone.

Yeah I just needed transmute primal water to life, considering that price of life is like 5 times lower than water.

I havent had single proc after the patch either, hopefully Blizzard will give us bit higher chance to make up for it?
