I have not got around to making one although I have been at max Alchemy for around 5 months.

But as next week my little guild is going to Kara, I was thinking of making the stone and using it for the Maiden fight. We dont have the best gear nor the greatest experience possible, and our first try on Maiden a while ago before tanks and healers deserted left right and center didnt go well at all.

Anyway I was thinking if it is worth it to ease the healers job.

I dont suppose it affects mana gems too no? It says only potions? Even for only potions I figure its good perhaps for endurance fights also? In a long boss fight in Kara for example(not Maiden), would it be more beneficial to have it so I as a mage get more mana from potions, or would it be a waste of trinket slot and I would be better of with the dps from the trinket?

When do you guys use it, if you do, and how good is it for you?

well its all a matter of priority, THe stats are good and the 40% works very well.

And think of the other potions. Theres more than just the regular healing and mana pots.

Theres the med alchemists which boosts both mana and health more than the other pots and now 40% ontop of that.

Theres those fel pots for mana and health regeneration that are very worth the debuff for 40% more effectiveness in a raid.

too bad the alchemists stone doesnt apply +40% effectiveness to ALL our creations. That would be too overpowered in terms of flasks and elixers, not to mention certain pots that add a function.

Bu like i said at the start its a matter of priority. What oppurtunity do you lose by using that trinket slot for the stone? Would your other trinket be more useful in that place?

for example as a rogue i could have the hourglass, stone and abaccus as choices. Now over time the hourglass procs will be nice. Abaccus's haste use will be a nice boost as well. But what is the fellow we're takin on AOE's a lot or i seem to be taking taking lots of damage, maybe that alchems stone will be safer in case an oh **** situation comes up for me and the healers are busy. Maybe hourglass and abacuss wont be useful cause i have to run around a lot from add to add, wasting the precious seconds i have the buffs on for.

I say have it with you as an option. i go into raids with at least 4 different trinkets just incase i need to switch for different situations between combat.

Honestly i made this off the bat and our guild is now up clearing SSC and TK and i use this all the time.

I have other trinkets for different situations but i would get this in your bag and i think you will find that you use it more than expected.

good luck in kara!

I always have mine equipped when raiding on my priest. That's a great boost to your pots.

How many times have you wiped after hearing people oom? More mana from pots may have been able to make the difference.

My mage isn't raiding yet, but I love my mad alchemist potions on him. When I can get the Alchemist's Stone for my mage, I'll just equip it and leave it on all the time for him too.
