I was in Felwood and came across a Devil lookin Rouge cant remember the name anyway, killed him and dropped a purple item (shadowblade) went to IF and posted it on the trade channel. Sold for 300g, good price?

If you are talking about this Shadowblade, then you got more than the server average. Not a bad deal.

Epics are few and far between before 70, enjoy them when they drop. I have only ever seen two drops, a pair of 40ish warlock pants off a trash mob I was going to just run past but aggroed, and a pair of gloves in Uldaman off a trash scorpid.

Price always varies from server to server, there is no unified price for all servers.

The guy i sold the shadowblade to put it in the AH for 500g:( I was pretty bummed about that but then a guy was selling another shadowblade for 300, bought that one and re sold for 400g :) Thnx for the replys.

Well, regardless, you are 300g richer than you would have been if you had not gotten the drop. On top of that, those guys are taking a gamble on if they can resell it at that price. The more times the list it, the less profit they make. I wouldn't worry too much about how they come out.

One thing you may look into is getting the auctioneer mod. It will allow you to scan the AH and it keeps track of average prices for items it sees. If you do daily scans you should have plenty of info about most items in the game within a month or so.
