I am a pretty bright guy... I have looked through these boards (Love the stickies and bookmarked Osiris chart as a guide) but please help me understand

Why slow? How slow? Anything to do with global cooldown ?

I am using hanzo sword and a faster dagger and don't see the higher numbers... but everything turns into a blur.

Thanks in advance for your patient response.

You might want to move this to the Rogue Forums...

Yes, rogue forum is the better home.

To answer your question,

Slow weapon typically = higher damage. If you have two swords, one is a 2.0 and the other is a 1.8 the 2.0 should have higher top end damage. When you Sinister Stike, it uses your main hand damage to figure up the extra, so you want the highest possible. The faster offhand is not going to be modified by your special attacks unless you are mutilate (in which case you want two slow daggers), so you just want a fast weapon that hits as quick as possible for more procs on your combat potency and poisons, along with more dps.

that's for hemo builds. Sinister Strike is normalized so speed won't matter if you're combat.
