Hello people im a lvl 21 nightelf warrior,a poor one ive never had more than 13g at one time.at one point i had 127skinning and 76leatherworking,i then droped them BOTH for mining(which is now 97)and *gulp* engeenering (which is now 65.im thinking of dropping engineering as its draining all my money and picking an other skill.which do you think makes the most money?and could i continue to lvl up with wat i have?

All Gathering skillls will make money. Crafting skills cost money. Find 2 you like and stick with them at least to level 40, if not 60-70. Mining seems to make the most money but varies on every realm. Not forget selling mats like cloth on the AH, can usaully make 4-5G per session selling stacks you pick up when grinding. Fishing can be a money maker, and easy to do. Decide which skill to get and stay with it. And not buy things off the AH or Vendors.

Stop switching skills! That drains money the fastest.

You can stay mining / engineering if you like engineering. Bombs are fun.

Its commonly recommended to start with two gathering skills. When you hit 40 choose a crafting skill to complement one of your gathering skills and drop the other gathering skill.

glad to see that you dropped leatherworking on your warrior though, what a waste that would have been.

Do you like math? Engineering is a really cool profession IRL.

If you have mining, Engineering won't cost you much (you need to buy some leather, that's about all) but you won't be earning the money that you would get by selling the stuff you mine out.

Mining will make you more than enough money to use engineering's toys, provided you use a little common sense and save some mats for the AH.

If you keep on pairing money losers to money makers, you will always be poor.

Don't worry about a few negative remarks Matthias. Most of the regulars here will rib you and give you a hard time at first, they do that to everyone, including admins. But the majority of them are not intentionally malicious.

Those that are, well, let's just say they don't last around here very long. Keep putting in your time and let people get to know you.

Between your mining on one character and disenchanting on another, you have skills that can earn you a lot of gold.

Some players have a hard time earning the money for their level 40 mount. If you work at mining and disenchanting, you could have the money far before level 40.
