So I took a look at our mining sticky, and...well I kinda want more information from it. It lists the zones where certain ores can be found, but it doesnt say which zones are the best to find each ore. For example it lists Thousand Needles for a zone to find Iron ore. This is true, but farming Iron there kinda sucks. I was wondering if anyone knew a link where it has the best places to farm each ore. I am currently looking for a good zone to farm Iron. Any help?
Arathi is good for iron.
I like badlands for iron. The reason that it doesn't say the best place, because there ISN'T a 'best' place. It depends on how many other people are farming, how high the mobs are relative to what level you are, all sorts of things. What I might consider the 'best' place for my 70 to farm is probably not the 'best' place for a level 40 to farm.

Select the ore you want and see the concentrations. I think you'll find good bits of Iron in Badlands, Arathi, etc.

yeah, the mapwow.com is a brilliant tool! and doesn't just stop with ore. You can find treasure chests and other bits and pieces too!

I agree with Dilbrt. But, I'll add that I trip over iron in Badlands.

What Dilbrt said is true, but there do seem to be better farming places for certain ores.
Iron: Arathi & Badlands are generally your best bet
Mithril: Tanaris & Badlands (Badlands has a mix of Iron and Mithril)
Thorium: Burning Steppes & EPL
Fel Iron, Adamantite and Khorium - Outland. Outland is small enough that you should be able to figure out which zones to go to - not many choices :)
