I am new to WoW and taken up mining and people suggested to download gatherer. I have done so but cannot figure out how to add to to the to use it.

I have looked on the website but it does not have any instructions for installing the thing.

Any help would be appreciated.

You should have received it in a .zip or .rar file

You open that up (with either winzip/winrar or whatever)

You will copy the gatherer (and any other folders in there) folders into the (assuming you did a default install) C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\Addons\ folder. If there isn't one there you need to create one.

After that load up WoW, and at your character select screen at te bottom left should be a button 'Addons' click that, and make sure that 'load out of date addons' is checked on the window that came up and make sure that that addon is checked in the window.

Hit okay and load up your character, it should be on there with no problem.

Where do you get Gatherer? If you know can you send me a link in a email to Quincycarvino@gmail.com because I also do mining.

I would remove your email address from open eyes as bots can easily scan over that and you will have more spam email than you can shake a stick at.

You can get gatherer from many sources, some of the most popular are:

So what's the advantage of using Gatherer as apposed to the regular track nodes/herbs?

gatherer puts dots on your map of places where you have previously mined nodes (or picked herbs) to know common spawn points.
