According to the Blues, in 2.4 there will be a recipe teaching you how to turn 1 Void Crystal into 2 Large Prismatic Shards, on a 24 hour CD.

So, who else just went out and bought 40 Void Crystals?

I hope they keep this change; if not, I'll just resell, but still -- they'll probably keep it.

I was interested to hear the news.

From the blue post, "This helps reduce the exorbitant prices currently being seen for Large Prismatics, and helps raise the value of the Void Crystals.". You are speculating. Good luck.

I bet this won't actually do anything except raise the price of void crystals... the reason noone wants voids and everyone wants LPS is because hardly any of the good enchants that most people want take voids, and they take 10-12 LPS

I bought 60 Void Crystals at an average of 25g each. Large Prismatics sell for 30g on my server. Now the price of Voids has jumped to 40-50g on the AH. I'm trying to decide if I should take my profits now or wait until the patch. The price of LPSs is bound to drop, but if the Sunwell offers new enchant using LPSs and/or Void Crystals, they might not drop much.

This whole situation makes me feel like I have insider knowledge of an upcoming stock split.

My server must still be full of idiots, because the Void price hasn't even changed -- still around 16g -- while the LPS price is around 27g.

Most of our server's progression is Horde-side; they have 3 guilds that have cleared BT, and 1 currently in BT, while we have 1 guild that has cleared BT, and 3 currently in it.

Sell half?
This way, you make money, and if they scrap the idea, you'll still be pretty well off. And you'll have some Crystals. Not half bad.
If they keep it, you make more money?

That's a pretty good idea. Too bad my server hasn't caught on yet ;)

I decided to sell a great many of them. The 24-hour cooldown on the enchantment plus the guild banks with several tons of them made me decide it's not quite the gold mine I had hoped. Think about the Earth to Water transmute...it doesn't kick the price of Primal Earth up much.

I'm keeping 20 though.
