in any case, got me thinking...
was going to actually make an excel chart of mats, cost to make vs cost to sell...
is there an addon that does this for ya?

You could get Auctioneer to track the prices of herbs/consumables and do a little addition yourself. I'm not sure if there's an add-on that will compare them automatically - though they kind of have one for Enchanting.
I don't see how you can rely on the prices on your chart unless you check all the prices each time you use it and input them, which sounds like a lot of extra work.
If you have auctioneer you can do a scan, and limit it to the mats, and the pots and elixirs. I'm at work and cannot remember the categories for these, but just uncheck the other categories before scanning.
Then open your alchemy window and click on a pot or elixir. Again, I'm at work, but I'm pretty sure it displays the mats required and you can mouse over them to see the price. Mouse over the pot or elixir in the same window to see the price of the finished product and do some addition.

I dont know if the addon is still updated, but advanced tradeskill window will use the prices from auctioneer, and display the "value" of what ever you want to create, along with many other features. At least i think thats the addon i had... either way, there is an addon that does it, but u may have to dig for it.
I dont know of any add-on that does that exact thing, apart from auctioneer, wich would help a little.
I dont think that the excel file will help tho, coz the mats and pots vary in price, wich make making pots one day for example much more expensive then making than a week later and thus profits you make will vary.
