I lvled my fishing almost entirely on lures so when my mate asked me a question I couldnt answer.
Does fishing with a lure affect the amount of fish caught to lvl?
I sent him some of the daillie fishing reward lures and he seemed reluctant to use them so I was just wondering.

No.
It takes the same amount of successful catches to level, whether you use lures or not. However, lures do help you to fish in higher level areas without losing fish.

Above 300, it's 12 or so catches per level.
