(not so serious) Question about fishing questFollow

Today I was doing the Daily Fishing Quest (Crocolisks in the City). Next to me was another player doing the same quest.

Question: is the chance of catching the baby crocolisk smaller if two (or more) people are fishing for it at the same spot?

It should be, because if someone else catches it before I do, you should think my chances of catching it would become much lower.

I'm not positive, but I wouldn't think someone elses fishing next to you would affect your catch. I believe it is all based on personal percentages and numbers.

It doesn't affect your catch chance, unless you consider the fact that you can hear their lure bob and thus right-click yours too early. For that reason, I tend to avoid other fishers wherever possible.

Ditto...it bugs me when people set up shop too close to me for exactly this reason. Since it bugs me I tend to avoid doing it to others.
