I try not to post things that I can figure out for myself.
I am trying to make the Spellfire set. I thought the hardest thing would be getting the Mats for the set... Not so. It's the cool down. Literally - it will take me weeks to make the set. (Yes I'm Spellcloth Specialized)
Last night - I started asking in /2 chat for a trade - Looking for another tailor to make some for me. I'd tip them - or, using their mats or mine (debate the prices/cost of doing this) I'd trade them their respective cloth. (i.e. They'd use my mats to make spellcloth, I'd use my mats to make their cloth --- OR --- I'd use their mats, which ever was easier.)
I got no takers. Ok - I'm on a very under-populated realm, but will this work? I can't see why not. But after about 1/2 an hour of reasonably posting in /2 chat (aka - Not Spamming) - no one responded.

That is how I made my pieces in a couple of days, I would use their CD with my mats and give a 20-25g tip for it. You don't have any guildies that are spellcloth specced?
Just say: /2 WTB Spellcloth Specced CD - Tipping 25g, my mats. or whatever.

No Guildies. I can't believe we have 3x 70 cloth wearers (other than me) and not one spec'd tailor. We got enchanters and alchemists all over the place though... Haha

I completed my Spellfire set within the first week of being seventy, and only used my own cooldown twice(so four total pieces). Personally, I just did dailies and bought spellcloth off the AH each night as cheaply as possible. All told, I'm not sure how much I spent that week, but it was a couple thousand. You could no doubt make it cheaper on yourself if you took some extra time to craft your own cloth, but I'm impatient.
I mean, if you were to actually make all the cloth yourself, you're looking at what? Two months in cooldowns?

It worked!
I got 2 people in the short time I was able to log on. One asked me to make his shadow cloth. The other wanted to trade me for a Primal Life. So this seems like it will help the speed.
There is no spellfire on my AH.
