What would you like to be able to make?Follow

#1 Jun 24 2008 at 7:04 AM Rating: Decent
I was just wondering, what kind of items or enchants would you want to see be released by Blizzard.

For example: for engineering I'd really want to get some AoE trinkets, and some more armor that ISNT cloth, because I'm a pally, so alot of the armor is useless for me

I'd like an Epic quality item that offers no stats or defense, but increases honor gained.

So you sacrafice the stats you need for an increase to honor gained per kill.

Being able to make better wands with enchanting or enchant them for that matter. Belt enchants. I'm excited to see what inscription offers.

That is an AWESOME idea o_O. I'm surprised I never thought of something like that, haha.

Honestly, I'd like some more interesting Engineering stuff. I love all the random effects. Since I'm big on exploring, something that could blow me skyhigh to new heights would be right up my alley. There's a lot of good stuff there already; I just want... more! MORE EXPLOSIONS! HAHAHAHA!

I'd love to see an epic recipe in jewel crafting or enchanting to make me a Ring of Jordan or a Kings Staff of Apocalypse

That would be wicked sick

I'd like all the professions to be able to make self only items that increase pve/pvp effectiveness in a similar way that enchanting does for ring enchants and jewel crafing does for epic quality gems.

For example, I'd like my tailor to be able to make a set of self only spellthreads that gave 5-15 more points of heal/damage. Or even a BOP bag that gives me some stat/ability bonus (like quivers for hunters) rather than just 4 extra pack spaces.

Blacksmiths could get a self only shoulder spike slightly better than whats available from Aldor/Scryer.

Leatherworkers could get an enhanced armor kit.

Anything would do as along as when you keep getting better gear, you can continually put that bonus skill to work. The Enchant & JC bonuses are nice because if you get a shiny new purple that is better than your old gear you can make it even better. Lather, rinse, repeat.

1) Mobile anvils for BS
2) Mobile forges for Smelting
3) Cell Phones (i.e. can check AH from cell phone, or can check mail) - Maybe view only, so as not to make the AH, towns, and bags obsolete.
4) Some kind of device that records your coordinates, and then you can teleoprt back to that exact location. Like a hearthstone, but you don't have to set it to an inn. You can set it wherever you want. This way, you can hearth back to an inn, then teleport back to your location.

I'd like to see soul bags for warlocks that have some sort of very minor bonus - maybe +1% mana or so?

I would like to be able to cast an enchantment that adds slots to bags.

BoE WANDS.
I'm sick and tired of checking the AH for a good wand for lvl 70 and not being able to find one. And since noone wants to fight that bloody Socrethar and there's no tanks neither healers to go into the Shattered Halls, well I'm stuck with a green wand.

Enchanting - Enchanters should be able to enchant gear for other characters on the same account. I can understand Blizzard not necessarily wanting to make enchants AHable, but it's really stupid that I can tailor/leatherwork/BS/make potions/etc... for my other characters, but when I want enchants I have to find someone else to do them for me.

Engineers - If we can make flying mounts, why not ground mounts? I want a motorcycle damn it!

Yeah. Hunters get bonuses from quivers/ammo pouches. Why not give warlock a bonus from soul bags? Not anything huge necessarily, but a minimal increase to spells damage or crit or something wouldn't hurt.

Simple and relatively reasonable request. Shields, Blacksmiths can make complicated chest pieces and intricate weapons yet the art of making a big slab of materials has somehow managed to elude us. Engineering has Goggles and trinkets, Blacksmithing should have Weapon (or chest piece depending on specialization) and a shield.

Needlessly complex and completely unreasonalbe request. Intigrate the skill together so if you are a Blacksmith and Engineer you can make a piece or two along the way that only a character with BS and Eng can make. Or just a slight upgrade to, for example the Engineering googles. So instead of creating the normal uber goggles you would be able to create a the same goggles with a slight boost in stats. If a player was a Leatherworker and Blacksmith add a bit of haste to the weapons a bit of dodge to the chest piece. Enchanting and a crafting could add slight chance on hit self buff. Alchemy and a crafting could add a slight chance on hit to do x additional damage, or arm pen. Enchanting and Alchemy could add a slight buff chance on hit self buff. Personally I think that this would make things much more fun for crafters and potentially make dual crafting professions viable. As I said needlessly complex, but I would enjoy it. Although I only have 2 characters that are using two "crafting" proffesions this would help give characters a reason to justify it.

I second this, and I would like to add that engineers should be able to make useful combat pets, seeing as how they nerfed our old ones so that the highest one will be is lvl 60.
Also I would like to see some gloves for engineers that are like bionic arms, so they add a bunch of strength or something.
or a jetpack??
I could go all day with engineering stuff that would be sweet to add

I would dig an engineered motorcycle. Be interesting to see if it scales for gnomes, or if they would have a hard time reaching the tree or the foot pegs... that and it would work out great for the proposed passenger system.

Goblin Jet Pack. Works like the rocket boots. You fly about 50 yds. up, and then it breaks x.x
For BS and LW gear to not suck endgame. Or some BoP recipes that are better than the raiding or PvP gear.
Melee engineering weapons. Clockwork sword anybody?
Alchemy to have transmute cloth spells (Silk to Mageweave would be cool. 2 for 1 deal?)
ENCHANT GUN. Broken? Probably. I care? No.

You might get this for factions in WotLK. At least according to WWI/WOWinsider.

Cheers :)

Yea, I know about that. It's hilarious, and I love it, but I mean something like the roflcopter that can keep you in the air. Or a speed boost in the air.

Actually, WotLK is supposed to be doing #4, but for locks only. Would be nice if engineers could make them too - especially if non-engineers could use them.

I'd like some bags bigger than 20 slot available as tailoring patterns.

Some other useful items for an Armorsmith. I don't really care what it is, but having the huge money/time sink to get only one really good epic item (Bulwark of the Ancient Kings) at the end is a *****. (Yes I know we can make other things, but Outlands greens are usually just as good, and a damn sight easier to get). I could respec, but that would admit all that time/money was a waste.

Everybody please rate this man up - that suggestion is freakin genius!!!

How's about being able to make super-sized bags for bank slots only - let the blacksmiths do it since they can't make any bags yet - call it a "sturdy lockbox" and make it the same number of slots as the uber bags for mining/JC/LW raw mats - even if they made them one per bank only it'd help.

I'd also like to see a supersized "refridgerated box" that engineers could make that would only hold cooked and raw food.

They also need to add a bit more variety to the 60-69 gear bracket for tailors and LW - tailors have a rather small spread of stuff they can make for people to use while LW stuff is rather pigeonholed.

Speaking of LW, how's about something on par for LW (and BS if you need it) on par with the specialty cloth armors that tailors can make?

I agree that enchanters need some nice wands as well - the current wands seem almost like an after-thought - give enchanters a few nice greens at higher levels and the occassional blue (along with some uber instance dropped blues and purples at 70).

Not normally one to quote my own post, but I found this on the wotlkwiki.info site:

Wands

* Enchanted White Wand: "Creates an enchanted white wand."
* Enchanted Crimson Wand: "Creates an enchanted crimson wand."

Any hint as to the level of the enchant or what the final products look like?
