I've just reached 375 in BSing on my warr and was ready to make my epic mace, but then looking at the WotLK talent trees it seems that warrior maces are getting a serious nerf. Is it worth putting all the mats into creating the epic mace and then rerolling axesmith in WotLK, or should I accept a short-term limit in axes at the mo, but be ready with the big hitter when the expansion comes out?

I'd like to get an idea of what others think. I'm sure BSing is due for a boost so I'd certainly like to stick with weaponsmithing of some sort, and the swords have never really appealed, as maces or axes are definitely cooler!

In my opinion, I would wait it out until the expansion goes live to craft any high end items. The cost of the tier 3 craftables is astronomical. If you have just gotten yourself to 375 then grats! That is a great accomplishment, especially for the hardest and most expensive profession to level! I keep hoping that they will make a fourth and fifth tier for the craftables, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I just think that at this point in time, with expansion looming, eventhough it will most definatley not be released on time, it would be a waste of time to craft this expensive item now without knowing the fate of your profession. Concentrate on your epic flyer if you don't already have it.

In regards to your Blacksmithing specialization, axes look to be the best choice at this point based on the info released about the sword/mace nerf.
