Right now I'm 375 Alch/Herb. It seems to me with the change that makes you unable to chug potions during fights that the demand for pots is going to crash which means the price will crash as well. Along with that inscription is uber and people will need herbs to lvl up and make the inscriptions and parchment for selling enchants. That means the cost for herbs is going to skyrocket and using the herbs to make pots won't make sense. What do you guys think?

I use flasks and elixers so the only pots I chug on a regular basis are mana and health.

Inscription will probably jack up the cost of herbs we use, yes, but the reality already is that the majority of pots are already worth less then thier mats anyway. For example, when I make mana pots, I'm not making them for profit because I can sell the mats for more then the pots most of the time, I'm making them in hopes of a discovery (flask of death still eludes me).

The demand for potions might go down but people will still want them. The potion sickness thing really only affects boss fights. People still use potions at other times. Also, flasks and elixirs are still going to be needed so it's not like alchemy is suddenly a worthless profession.

As for herbs, inscription will almost definitely increase the demand, especially when the patch first hits and 65492387458345 people all try to powerlevel it at once. That shouldn't affect alchemist profits that much though. Yes, herb prices will increase, but then so will pot/elixir/flask prices.

Health/Mana potions have never been something I looked upon as a profit maker. Ever. I really don't understand how someone with 375 alchemy can be bursting a gasket over this...it's something you probably sell the most of, but carries by far the lowest markup because everyone makes them.

Focus on things that aren't influenced by the cooldown. That's all there is to it.
