Thanks in advance for your help. I had an add-on previously that did this, but had to re-install and can not remember for the life of me what it was called.
Specifically, if you hover the cursor over an item in your inventory (eg, silverleaf) it will tell you below the item name and that what can be made with it (eg, for silverleaf it would say minor healing potion, minor mana potion, etc.).

I'd like to find something like this myself.
In the meantime I have been using an addon called professions book.
It lists all the professions all your toons have and allows you to search all of them by what reagents they use or search by recipe.
I use it mainly to see what reagent is used by what to determine if I have more than I need of that reagent and I can sell the extra or maybe save them.
