Leather Working WoTLKFollow

So, do my eyes deceive me or are all the new armor kits strictly for leatherworkers? Any item you use them on becomes soulbound? Thank you blizzard. Someone was thinking there.

I think you misread the description -

Quote:
Heavy Borean Armor Kit
Requires Level 70
Use: Permanently increase the Stamina of an item worn on the head, chest, shoulders, legs, hands or feet by 18. Attaching causes the item to become soulbound.

The armor kit isn't soulbound but using it on something makes the item soulbound - I suspect this is to prevent people from using it on twink armor the same way the shoulder enchants make the item enchanted soulbound.

Yeah, I just applied the fur bracers for +114 AP and +90 Stamina to my DPS and tanking bracers, respectively. Totally awesome benefit for free, as the fur it requires (just 1!) drops pretty regularly when you're skinning.

Note that the pants armor kits also contain a very nice "leatherworker-only" benefit too; i.e. 20 AP and 7 crit more than the kit you can sell to others.

It confused me at first because they both have similar mats and the same "Can only attach to your own armor" restriction, but one (reinforcements) has 75 AP and 22 crit while the other (armor) has 55 AP and 15 crit. It wasn't until I looked it up here that I noticed the difference, which is made easily apparent in the popup links here: 'reinforcements' is a spell, so you can only apply it to your own pants, whereas the 'armor' is just like the old cobra and clefty kits...you can sell it to others and then THEY can only apply it to their own pants.

Having gotten further into LW, yeah - the new LW only armor kits are kick butt to the max!

Word of warning though - dont go too hog wild training up LW by burning the kits as there's a pattern trainer in Dalaran who charges two artic furs for some patterns.
