I've come to the conclusion that, unlike almost everything in my life, my druid is extremely lucky. I personally believe in the law of averages, and that eventually my luck will turn. But here are some examples:

1. Rivendare's Deathcharger in 100 runs through Stratholme, pre-3.0.2 (so a 1/x,000th rate instead of the 1/100 rate it is now). Average amount of runs seems to be in the several hundreds.
2. STV fishing tourny: Won the first time I tried it. See relevant discussions about how lucky that was... and how it is rarer to win the tourny than it is to be a Gladiator.
3. Rare fishy fish needed for "The One That Got Away" achievement. Approximately a 1/2000-1/5000 catch rate. Got it after roughly 250 casts (while working toward my 1000 fish achievement).
4. World epics/RARE epics dropped: At least 4. Off the top of my head, Skullflame Shield, Myrmidon's Signet, staff from Darkmaster Gandling in Scholomance, and the Shadowblade. I have also got at least three DOZEN blue BoE items. On this one character.

Now, my luck ends with picking up the Delicious Chocolate Cake recipe or a fishing hat, but otherwise it has pretty much held. I am desperately afraid that when I go to Northrend, my fortunes will abruptly change... especially when I am fishing for coins in Dalaran. Shudder. Anyone else have good/bad luck?

Maybe it's just druids.

My Druid caught Mr. Pinchy on the second-ever cast into a Highland Mixed School just the other day. My fishing skill was only at about 350 at the time...I didn't even think I'd land a catch. First wissh out of the box was the Magical Crawdad. Meanwhile, my other two 70 have repeatedly fished the Highland Mixed Schools (starting at least early summer 2007) and I've only ever seen Mr Pinchy once before. And that time, three wishes and no pet.

My horde Druid alt got the Savory Deviate recipe in the Barrens. Something I had tried for several times before on my alliance toons, but never had it drop.

I'm with you...hopefully the luck holds out with the Dalaran coins :-)

Even when my luck is good, it's bad. I've burned up all my main toon's rare drop karma on Mr. Pinchy. I've caught him five times now. I've had two of him in my bank, wishes on cooldown, simultaneously (they share the cooldown, btw).

I have no shot at "The One That Got Away", but it's not in me to stop trying.

Cant deny that druids are lucky - all of my uber rare finds and world drops have been on my feral (albeit, he is my main, but I've got four other 70s so I don't play him 100%).

Took two shots and five wishes to get my magic crawdad.

Managed to score crafty twice by accident before achievements simply by sitting around fishing while waiting for a BG.

Caught the One Ring once.

I had several of the rares pre-achievements but finally tossed 'em to make bank space.

Been having a string of bad luck on the emote cooking recipes though - got two and had the two I need both drop in Nex and lost the rolls - both times to idiots who didn't know what they were for and didn't have cooking skills higher then 150 >_<

For a long time I have suspected that some toons were lucker than others. I have a Blood Elf Pally and he went from 1 to 220 before ever losing a fish. Every time he put his hook in water he catches a fish.
I have a miner toon that finds gems 1 in 3 ore nodes. All the time.

One of my toons shot a black cat during the October festival, and the game informed me that I had bad luck for an unremembered time peroid. The point is; if you can have bad luck, then you can have good luck.

I think each toon has a random luck rating that is rolled when you make the toon. ??

Wow, so just a total and utter loser with nothing better to do then stalk someone on a forum.

Do you know how pitiful that makes you?

How worthless and empty is your life that this is how you get your kicks?

Sad, sad little man...
