I've come to the conclusion that, unlike almost everything in my life, my druid is extremely lucky. I personally believe in the law of averages, and that eventually my luck will turn. But here are some examples:
1. Rivendare's Deathcharger in 100 runs through Stratholme, pre-3.0.2 (so a 1/x,000th rate instead of the 1/100 rate it is now). Average amount of runs seems to be in the several hundreds.
2. STV fishing tourny: Won the first time I tried it. See relevant discussions about how lucky that was... and how it is rarer to win the tourny than it is to be a Gladiator.
3. Rare fishy fish needed for "The One That Got Away" achievement. Approximately a 1/2000-1/5000 catch rate. Got it after roughly 250 casts (while working toward my 1000 fish achievement).
4. World epics/RARE epics dropped: At least 4. Off the top of my head, Skullflame Shield, Myrmidon's Signet, staff from Darkmaster Gandling in Scholomance, and the Shadowblade. I have also got at least three DOZEN blue BoE items. On this one character.
Now, my luck ends with picking up the Delicious Chocolate Cake recipe or a fishing hat, but otherwise it has pretty much held. I am desperately afraid that when I go to Northrend, my fortunes will abruptly change... especially when I am fishing for coins in Dalaran. Shudder. Anyone else have good/bad luck?
