What level does Goldclover stop giving skillups? I'm at 420 right now, and not maxed, and I'm not getting any more skill points. Anybody know?

I think I used Gold Clover until 423 or so making Crazy Alchemist Potions which I learned through my Northrend Alchemy Research. At that point, I switched and started making Earthsiege/Skyflare diamonds and the occasional flask. I'm at 445 now and just need to farm a few more flasks to hit 450.

Sorry, I should have clarified. I was wondering about herbalism skillups, not the alchemy. Thanks for the response though.

If its coming up as green that means that its almost, but not quite useless - you may have gotten it to the point where you're only going to get a skill up ever once in a great while.

I know it's gray at 450 :-P

If you want to level your herbalism skill, I recommend taking a half hour to fly around Netherwing Ledge in Shadowmoon Valley. The Netherdust Bushes there got me to 450 (I think). If not, it got me very close.

The frozen herbs in Dragonblight have gotten my herbing to 445. They're still yellow, so I'll be able to cap herbing with them. I'm only level 72, so it was a lot easier than I thought it would be to max.

Looking around, I see some conflicting information. Here's what I can find so far:

Goldclover -- orange 350 -- (Borean Tundra, Howling Fjord, Dragonblight)
Firethorn -- orange 360 -- (Borean Tundra)
Talandra's Rose -- orange 385 -- (Zul'Drak)
Tiger Lily -- orange 400 -- (Borean Tundra, Grizzly Hills, Howling Fjord, Sholazar Basin)
Frozen Herb -- orange 415 -- (Dragonblight, Zul'Drak)
Lichbloom -- orange 425 -- (Storm Peaks, Icecrown)
Adder's Tongue -- orange 430 -- (Sholazar Basin)
Icethorn -- orange 435 -- (Storm Peaks, Icecrown)
Frost Lotus -- orange 450 -- (Wintergrasp)

Looks like the yellow and green numbers aren't well documented at this point. Wowwiki has a couple, but they don't make sense, with a yellow number lower than the orange number.

My path to 445 so far has been Gold Glover and Firethorn, then Tiger Lily, then Frozen Herb.

EDIT: I'm up to 450 now, capped it off still in Dragonblight using the Frozen Herbs.

Ok, thanks for the responses. I'm guessing that they're green right now. I just hit Dragonblight and the Frozen Herbs have me going again. It does seem pretty easy to level. I'm only 74 and I'm doing well. Seems to be a good number of herbs around.

Lots of good information in your post. I've incorporated it into the Herbalism Sticky (page 6 - Plants by level). Rate up for you!
