Why ask here? Who knows what realm you're on? Even if I knew, and it was a different realm than mine, how would I know the price on your realm?

So, let's use logic. There is an Auction House in each of the Old World major cities. You go there and check the price for one Titansteel bar. Now you have a good idea of what it would sell for. If I had the mats and needed one, I could buy it from the AH or get you to make it. The only decision I have if you charge the same as the AH is the cost of the mats (if you ask me to provide them). And if there are no Titansteel bars on the AH when I want one, I'll pay even more if I really, really NEEDZ it!

Do not despair if you did not think of this on your own. For I am The One, I am He Who Knows All, I have The Gift.

Yeah, sometimes sarcasm is warranted.

Look at how much the finished product is going for on your server's AH (assuming its even for sale) and then figure 10-20% of that.

Seeing as how that's a prime way of skilling up and learning new recipes though, you should be happy as heck to even give it away - hook you your guidlies and earn yourself some good will - worth ten times more then gold.

Those are good guidelines, but...

According to Alla, the median price of a titansteel bar is 402G. That would mean that you'd be charging 40-80G for your cooldown. The average price of the components is 177G. If you're selling your cooldown for the money, instead of some other reason, it makes more sense to use the cooldown for yourself, and sell the bar instead of the CD.
