Evolve - Big Alpha Trailer

Evolve certainly made a strong impression at conventions this year, and despite its first alpha triggering a delay in the game's launch, 2K Games and Turtle Rock Studios are ready to once again unleash their inner beast.

Battleborn: Cooperative Campaign Gameplay Video

Battleborn, a hero shooter in development by 2K Games and Gearbox Software, will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC in 2015. This morning an action reveal video was released, showing off an 18 minute demo of a 5-player co-op campaign mission along with commentary from Creative Director Randy Varnell and Lead Writer Aaron Linde.

Pre-Purchase Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel

Have you been asking yourself what could be better than a four-player, first-person co-op game that gives you access to thousands of weapons, and a loot-filled planet filled with enemies and bosses ripe for the picking? The answer is to take all of that, then put it on the moon.

That's right, the next installment of the Borderlands franchise is here and officially available for pre-purchase on Steam.

Evolve: Delayed Until February 2015

Original Release: October 21st, 2014 – 10 weeks away
New Release: February 10th, 2015 – 26 weeks away

Turtle Rock Studios has announced that Evolve, one of E3's most intriguing games, is now delayed. This is likely a direct result of Alpha feedback. Testers are having fun, but say it's "lacking depth." Extra time will give Turtle Rock the time to flesh out their flesh-rending 4v1 combat.

BioShock Coming to iOS

First of all, it's hard enough to admit that BioShock came out seven years ago. It's somehow more surprising that 2K announced it will soon be available on iOS devices.

Here's a quick fact sheet:

Battleborn: New IP from Gearbox

Before we chime in with Battleborn details, let’s jump straight to the trailer:

Sign Up For the Evolve Alpha

On Twitter today the Evolve team posted this message about Alpha sign-ups:

A Hands-On Look at Evolve

Today at E3, Cody Bye, who is known around the office as "DoctorAFK", showed everyone on our team why he's the President of ZAM during our hands-on session with Evolve.

2K and Turtle Rock hauled their set-up in full E3 style and I got to experience what this madness with the huge monster was all about. This game isn't structured like any others out there: it's a dynamic 4 versus 1 deathmatch, which basically means four hunters track, trap and take down one big baddie. The baddie is not your usual boss AI: it's controlled by a player. In our game, I was assigned to Assault, which is their heavy damage-dealing class with some serious swagger, wielding a flamethrower and a minigun. Another co-worker picked up the Trapper, whose job is to trap and contain the monster with a harpoon and a pet called Daisy. The Support and Medic rounded out our 4-man hunter party.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Announced

The next title in the Borderlands series has been unveiled, and it takes a look into the past of Handsome Jack. Set between Borderlands and Borderlands 2, new gameplay features are sure to be plentiful in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.

2K Games Franchise to Become Asian MMO

Take-Two Interactive announced today that it has partnered with XLGAMES "to develop and publish a massively multiplayer online game for the Asian market based upon one of 2K Games' top-selling franchise." XLGAMES is founded and led by Jake Song, the co-founder of Nexon and the creator of the Lineage franchise. According to Song, the upcoming game has been in development for a year.

So which top-selling franchise is getting the MMO treatment? The announcement doesn't say, meaning it's all speculation at this point. Take-Two's labels are 2K and Rockstar Games. 2K Games publishes games like BioShock, Borderlands and Civilization. Rockstar is the force behind Grand Theft Auto, Red Dead Redemption and L.A. Noire. Since the deal is with 2K, it's doubtful that this partnership will bring forth a GTA MMO.

Which franchise do you think is being turned into an Asian MMO?
