First "Community Q&A" Released for Black Prophecy

The first issue of Reakktor Media's "Community Q&A" has just been released, offering a wealth of insight behind the ongoing development of its upcoming space-action MMO, Black Prophecy. Based in a dark universe created by award-winning Sci-Fi author Michael Marrak, Black Prophecy is self-described as a "fast-paced 3D real-time combat space MMO with state of the art visuals." The buzz surrounding the game hypes it as a serious rival of Eve Online, without all the tedious character progression that can take up to months of work.

The Community Q&A features commentary by Kirk Lenke and Development Director Simon Bachmann, fielding a slew of questions (many of which were originally submitted by fans in the game's official forums). Check out the first issue in its entirety here, along with the official FAQ if you're interested in learning more.

3 New Black Prophecy Screenshots Released

Reakktor Media has released three new in-game screenshots for its upcoming space action MMO Black Prophecy.

A Tyi fighter can be seen in two of the three images. In one of them, the fighter is being chased by several combat drones of the "Restorers" alien race. In the other, the Tyi fighter enters close-quarter combat with a Genide fighter. The last screenshot shows a human shuttle caught in a huge explosion.

You can view all three of the new images in our ZAM Black Prophecy gallery.

Cockpit Screenshots, Soundtrack Snippets Released

There's some new media up on the Black Prophecy Web site that gives us a glimpse into three first-person cockpits and the game's soundtrack.

The three high-resolution screenshots can be found here and show the interior of Tyi, Genide and human spaceships. They give you an idea of what it will be like to fly these ships in the game.

As for the music, Pierre Langer from Dynamedion recently played snippets of the soundtrack on a German radio show. If you'd like to listen, go here and click on the "Vorstellung der Gaeste" link.

1st Gameplay Video for Black Prophecy Released

Last week, Reakktor Media released a new cinematic trailer for its upcoming space action MMO Black Prophecy. Well, the company just released another trailer today that may be of even more interest to prospective players: one that shows actual gameplay. It can be found on the game's video page.

This is the first gameplay trailer to be released for the game and shows the user interface, the mission system and the modular ship design. According to the FAQ on the official Web site, you will not be able to exit your ship at the game's release, but the developer is not ruling out that option in further expansions.

The video does warn viewers this is a work in progress and may differ from the final product. Aside from that, what do you think? Are you interested in giving Black Prophecy a try?
