Well here it is folks, Night of Shadows releases tomorrow. We've been busy gathering info and working back behind the scenes to get as much work done as we can. We're going to release the wiki tonight so folks can look over it for the release tomorrow.

As war rages across the surface of Luclin, disaster has befallen Shadow Haven deep below. - Merchant Olwen in Western Wastes no longer has quantity restrictions on oranges, limes, lemons, or medicinal herbs.
- Corrected an issue that prevented the Journeyman's Compass from gaining additional progress.
- Potion Merchants that sell distillate potions now offer XX and XXI versions.
- Royal Antonican Weapon Ornament Pack now stacks to 20.


*** Quests & Events ***

- The Kar`Zok (Raid): Restored the missing currency reward to this event.
- Updated the "Master of" text to correctly reflect what is needed to complete the achievements for the following expansions:
- - Veil of Alaris
- - The Ring of Scale
- - The Burning Lands
- - Torment of Velious


*** Spells ***

- Updated the description for all ranks of Enhanced Minion so that they indicate the levels they affect.


*** AA ***

- Wizard - Destructive Adept - Increased the percentage damage modifier at all ranks, up to 160% at max rank.
- Renamed the following AAs to Innate Prowess and moved to the Archetype tab:
- - Berserker - Innate Rage - Increased the percentage damage modifier at ranks 18/19/20 to 100/110/120.
- - Beastlord - Innate Fury - Increased the percentage damage modifier at ranks 19/20 to 100/110.
- - Monk - Innate Innerflame - Increased the percentage damage modifier at ranks 19/20 to 100/110.
- - Ranger - Innate Natureblade - Increased the percentage damage modifier at ranks 19/20 to 90/100.
- - Rogue - Innate Duelist - Increased the percentage damage modifier at ranks 19/20 to 100/110.
- - Bard - Innate Songblade
- - Paladin - Innate Holyblade
- - Shadow Knight - Innate Darkblade
- - Warrior - Innate Fellstrike
- Enhanced Decay (and equivalent) AAs have slowly but surely increased DoT damage at an untenable rate, leading us into a situation where DoTs are outperforming just about everything else in far more scenarios than intended. We've adjusted these AAs to ensure that they can continue to receive healthy upgrades for the foreseeable future.
- Made the following additional changes to the below AAs: renamed to Enhanced Ruin, moved to the Archetype tab, and updated the minimum duration value in the description of all ranks to be in seconds instead of ticks.
- - Druid - Enhanced Maladies - Reduced the percentage damage bonus from 36 seconds worth of increased damage to 32 seconds at max rank.
- - Enchanter - Enhanced Torment - Increased the percentage damage bonus for DoTs with a minimum duration of 36+ seconds to match the indicated seconds worth of increased damage at all ranks.
- - Necromancer - Enhanced Decay - Reduced the percentage damage bonus from 41 seconds worth of increased damage to 38 seconds at max rank.
- - - Note, the display value for this AA at max rank inaccurately indicated that it provided a damage bonus equivalent to 56 seconds worth of damage when it actually capped at 41 seconds at the specified minimum DoT duration.
- - Shadow Knight - Enhanced Decay - Reduced the percentage damage bonus from 38 seconds worth of increased damage to 34 seconds at max rank.
- - - Note, the display value for this AA at max rank inaccurately indicated that it provided a damage bonus equivalent to 48 seconds worth of damage when it actually capped at 38 seconds at the specified minimum DoT duration.
- - Shaman - Enhanced Pestilence - Reduced the percentage damage bonus at ranks 8-10 to match the indicated seconds worth of increased damage.


*** NPCs ***

- Corrected an issue where NPCs (such as raid chests) could only hold 36 items.


*** Progression Servers ***

- Increased the number of keys granted on progression servers for Empires of Kunark and The Burning Lands.


*** Miscellaneous ***

- Added the Personal Tradeskill Depot:
- - With the purchase of the new expansion your account will gain a Tradeskill Component Depot that comes with 250 - 490 slots (depending on the expansion edition purchased) for stacks of different tradeskill items. You can purchase additional slots via the marketplace.
- - Each slot ignores the standard stack sizes and can hold up to 99,999 of an item.
- - To withdraw or deposit items from/to your Personal Tradeskill Depot, you'll need to be at a bank. However, you can consume items from anywhere as long as you have Personal Depot checked in the Tradeskill Window.
- - - You will only be able to deposit stackable tradeskill items that are not attunable, temporary, lore, no trade (and also not heirloom), containers, or no storage.
- - Items in your Personal Tradeskill Depot can only be used in normal tradeskill combines. You cannot experiment using your depot, the items must be in your inventory.
- - Your Personal Depot can only contain a single stack of each item. For example, if you have 99,999 Cup of Flour in your Personal Depot, you will not be able to deposit any more.
- - All characters on an account on the same server will share the same Personal Tradeskill Depot, much like the shared bank. When a character is transferred to a different server, their Personal Depot will not be included.
- - Updated /outputfile inventory to include items from your Personal Tradeskill Depot if it is loaded (either by opening it at a bank or using it for tradeskill combines).


*** UI ***

- The atlas now correctly displays Luclin in space instead of in the ocean.
- The Tradeskill Window now has a checkbox to consume items from your Personal Tradeskill Depot. When checked, it will pull items from your Personal Tradeskill Depot before pulling from your inventory.
- Added a button to view your Personal Tradeskill Depot from the Tradeskill Window. You will only be able to view items this way, you'll need to open it from a bank to withdraw or deposit items.

- Recipes should once again award the most significant product(s) before returned components such as tools.

- Kill Kangur (Raid) - Altered this event so that the main loot is in a chest that is opened as the last step of the event.
- Primal Vampire (Raid) - Updated the fail chat text to reflect the correct name of the Achievements 'No Ascent' and 'Feastless'.
- Quoth the Raven... - Ravenous gorals will no longer give credit for this quest.
- The Hero's Journey - Neriak Quests - Death of Lyda Nasin (Achievement) - This achievement has been restored as the target of this quest, Lyda Nasin, can now be found in East Freeport.


*** Spells ***

- Warrior - Altered Determined Reprisal and Wade into Battle to fix a stacking conflict with Spire of the Warlord.
- Rogue - Added Thief's Eyes and Thief's Vision to a stacking group to ensure that lower ranks will not overwrite higher ranks.
- Enchanter - Arcane Disjunction has been adjusted to no longer conflict with the Wizard Class AA, Trifurcating Magic.
- Corrected an issue with the text of the description for Yeti Chill.

- Magician - Theft of Essence - The proc rate for this ability has been updated to 100%.
- Magician - Elemental Conversion - This has been updated to ignore damage mitigation factors on the pet.
- Magician - Elemental Conversion - Several ranks have been adjusted to consume slightly more pet health while returning slightly more mana.
- Enchanter - Beguiler's Synergy - This will now buff chromatic spells in addition to fire, ice, and magic spells.


*** NPCs ***

- Drifter Minki will now leave the Nexus when he is not needed. Fear not as he will return during the Anniversary.


*** Overseer ***

- Fixed a typo in the Overseer Quest 'Guard the Goods'.
- Several new event-specific Agents have been added to Overseer, available only during the Frostfell event in December.
- A new line of event-specific Overseer Quests, available at all Overseer levels, are also available for a limited time during Frostfell.
- New achievements, found in the Overseer >> Holiday category, have also been added for completing each of the new Frostfell event Overseer Quests.


*** Miscellaneous ***

- Corrected an issue where a beta copy would not work if the character's name was taken.
- Fixed a zone crash that would rarely happen when moving items in containers.
- Temple of Veeshan will now spawn a pickzone if it reaches 25 players.

- The Bazaar Search window's platinum column is now right-justified.


*** Previously Updated ***

- Corrected an issue that was preventing raid currency from being properly awarded after victories in Terror of Luclin raids.

- New Overseer agents, quests, and achievements for Nights of the Dead have been added. See the Overseer section below for more details.

- Look to the Marketplace this month for the Erudite Heritage Crate. Each crate contains a random item. Trade these Erudite Heritage items to your friends or collect them all yourself!

- Continued reducing the amount of zone lag caused by spell casts and procs.

 

 

*** Tradeskills ***

 

- Crafting Planes of Power Timeless and Ornate armors no longer grants a small amount of experience.

- Failing to bake a Loaf of Bread no longer has a small chance to result in a Burnt Loaf of Bread. However, Burnt Loaf of Bread can now be crafted by placing a Loaf of Bread in an oven, no Bread Tin required.

- Recipes that consume a Flawless Conflagrant Diamond and whose failure had a small chance to result in a Crushed Conflagrant Diamond will now instead always return the Flawless Conflagrant Diamond.

 

 

*** Quests & Events ***

 

- Primal Vampire, Close the Gate, and Oubliette of Light (Raids) - Corrected an error that didn't award completion credit for beating these events.

 

 

*** Spells ***

 

- Bard - Removed the hidden requirement on the following 7 songs that prevented their use unless a matching instrument was equipped: Shauri's Sonorous Clouding, Cantata of Soothing, Melody of Ervaj, Occlusion of Sound, Composition of Ervaj, Harmony of Sound, and Harmony of Tone.

- Corrected a misspelled word in the description for Yeti Chill.

 

 

*** AA ***

 

- Attempting to trigger multiple AAs with cast times should no longer give a timer for the ones that don't cast.

- Necromancer - Reluctant Benevolence - Fixed an issue with the Disabled description.

- Monk - Technique of Master Wu - Ranks 36 and 37: Increased the percentage chance to hit for the first non-guaranteed strikes to be a 5% increase per rank.

 

 

*** Mercenaries ***

 

- Fixed a bug where, after server transfer or test copy, characters with open mercenary slots were unable to hire new ones.

 

 

*** Overseer ***

 

- Several new event agents specific to the Nights of the Dead event have been added to Overseer.

- A new line of event quests, available at all Overseer levels, are also available for a limited time during Nights of the Dead (and for an extra 2 weeks after Nights of the Dead ends!).

- New achievements, found in the Overseer >> Holiday category, have also been added for completing each of the new Nights of the Dead event quests.

 

 

*** Miscellaneous ***

 

- Bards can now begin improving all instrument skills starting at level 1.

- Logging into a pickzone from character select will now prioritize returning you to the same pick you camped out from.

- Made a speculative fix to a problem when reconnecting after going link dead:

- - Logging into the same world after disconnecting from a zone and landing at the server selection screen, rather than the character selection screen, will now automatically kick the link dead PC rather than prompting you to do so.

- NPCs can now respond to /emote messages in the same manner they do /say messages.

- Armor can now be dyed with red, green, and blue values below 25.

 

 

*** UI ***

 

- Fixed a client crash that could occur when upgrading a Heroic Character with a custom UI.

- Fixed a bug where experience gained percentages displayed were inaccurate while in a party with players of different levels.

- Fixed a client crash that could occur when using a custom Extended Target Window.

- Rewards that grant currency will now display the name and quantity being granted in a chat message.

- When merging two groups, the leader of the joining group's Advanced Loot Window will now flash if there is at least one item in the loot list. The confirmation popup will no longer appear if the list is empty.

- Added the ability to output a filtered (Complete, Open, and/or Locked) list of your achievements using either a new button in the achievements window or the slash command: /outputfile achievements.
- Level 100 Heroic Characters are now available on servers that have unlocked Torment of Velious.


*** Quests & Events ***

- Mata Muram (Raid) - Added a speculative fix to ensure Mata Muram does not target people in 'hover mode' with his gaze.
- Free the Goranga (Raid) - Targets of the shadow chains effect will no longer be hit by the moonfall effects, so they can run as far away as they would like. Messaging has been added to let the target know when the chains protect them from the moonfall.
- Theater of Blood Access - The Twisted Harmonic Chime will now attune to you. Click it to attune, then click it again to teleport. You will only need to complete the attune step once.
- Kreljnok's Sword of Eternal Power - The map in East Wastes will no longer lie to you about Larnik's location. Additionally, Larnik can now be found after 4 to 6 hours following his last defeat.
- Demiplane of Blood Progression - Congealed Blood of Redfang, Rune-Etched Stone, Shrunken Head, and Sister's Handkerchief are five times more likely to drop from the creatures that drop them.
- Added an additional Eye of Yar`Lir and Eye of Vishimtar to the chest that drops in their raid.
- Essedera should be available again in Eastern Wastes (Torment of Velious).
- Altered the method used to give rewards for Terror of Luclin raids. The new method should be more tolerant of characters who are zoning at the time the rewards are granted. This includes flags and point currency but not the chest.


*** Spells ***

- Corrected an issue where hate could overflow to a lower value in a very long fight.


*** AA ***

- Activated abilities will be less likely to apply their reuse timer if they are interrupted by the caster zoning.


*** NPCs ***

- Marcia Attamilgad has decided to change the price she'll pay for a few items that aren't as rare as they once were.
- Phinigel Autropos, Dracoliche, Dread, and Terror are now immune to crowd control effects.


*** Progression Servers ***

- Mount blessings for knight classes should now apply during the intended active expansions on progression servers.
- Evolving items on Level Locked servers can now evolve when the owner is up to 10 levels lower than the item's required level.
- Teleport items rewarded on Vaniki have had their recast timers reduced, can be placed in housing, and no longer share recast timers with other teleport items.
- Elder Animist Dumul in Shar Vahl will accept the Copper Medal of War at level 50 on most servers or 40 on level capped servers.


*** Miscellaneous ***

- Made improvements to how achievements are processed to further reduce zone lag.
- Experience gain messages will now also display the percentage gained. This change currently only applies to regular experience (not AA).
- Return Home should refresh in some cases where the zone you are trying to enter is unavailable.
- Fixed a crash that could occur when removing an overflow item.
- Creating a Heroic Character on the Test server will now decrement your count of Heroic Character Consumables Pack.
- The safe point in Chardok has been moved to the zone-in point when entering from the Burning Woods.
- Some typos have been resolved in Shar Vahl flavor text. This does not affect any quest lines.

- Your current target should now be highlighted with an outline of their consider color in the Extended Target Window.
- Updated the default location for hotbars 1-4 and updated bars 3-4 to show by default.
- Fixed an issue that would add a duplicate item when using Link All from the Advanced Loot Window.
- Updated the Bazaar and Merchant windows to include commas in the price of items.
- Clicking on the Extended Target Window but not on a target should keep your current target and no longer target yourself.
- Updated the Combat Skills Window to save the sorted column.
- Right-clicking a combat ability hotkey will now open up the Combat Skills window and select that combat ability.
- Alphabetized the list of commands when using /help.
- Updated the Claim window to better indicate if a feature is unavailable to claim.
- Fixed a problem with the Chat Options button on the Login Server's chat window being inaccessible.
- Added tooltip information explaining what the aggro numbers in Group and the Extended Target windows mean.

- Made several improvements to achievement processing to improve zone latency.
- The Darkened Sea expansion bundles will be available from August 17 through August 30.
- Increased the default number of available Extended Target Window slots to 20, and removed the alternate ability requirement.

- Made Eye of Yar`Lir and Eye of Vishimtar quest items.
- 10th Anniversary Firework Focus items have had a typo corrected in their lore text.


*** Tradeskills ***

- Failing a combine due to insufficient skill will now also display the minimum required skill.


*** Quests & Events ***

- Miragul's Reanimation Formula will now drop from appropriate level 60 Lost Dungeons of Norrath adventures.
- Updated a dialog trigger on Baenar Swiftsong to make it easier to experience the rest of the story they give.
- A Journey Home (Raid): Charm and fear will be removed from players before the chest spawns to prevent an effect on a charmed player killing the chest.
- Removed respawn of NPCs from many mission and raid zones.


*** Spells ***

- Reduced the level of the Planes of Power imbue spells by five levels.
- Updated Outrider's and Blackguard's Synergy to work properly with the appropriate skills.
- Spell damage applied to an NPC target, without a caster, will now use the correct damage reporting channel instead of say.
- Added messaging to the Heals (You) and Heals (Others) channels when a debuff with counters is cured.
- Fixed a bug that caused some bolt and area effect spells to display a small bag.

- The progression AA Gift of the Keepers, Valor of the Keepers, Embrace of the Keepers, Power of the Keepers, and Sanctity of the Keepers now require level 60.
- Fixed an issue with incorrect ranks of AAs being purchased when using the Buy All button on a mercenary AA.


*** NPCs ***

- Shadow Valley - A remnant of shade can now be tracked.


*** Overseer ***

- The button to retire a selected Agent will now be disabled for Agents that cannot be retired.


*** Progression Servers ***

- Updated the required level of Vaniki's Challenge: Defeat Defense of the City.
- The tutorial will now allow level 6 to 14 players to zone into it on Vaniki.
- Removed the AFK kick from Vaniki.
- The level 60 progression reward has been changed to the Visage of Vaniki. You should receive this reward even if you received the other. We will not be reclaiming the other reward. Enjoy!
- Moved the availability of the Heroic Character quests to when Call of the Forsaken opens instead of when part 2 opens.


*** Miscellaneous ***

- Increased the max number of items that can be sold in one barter transaction from 20 to 100.
- - Holding shift while selling to a buyer will now work if you have less of the item to sell than the transaction cap.
- When you fail to cast a spell that requires out of combat, your timer will be updated.
- Improved the way that achievements are processed in order to reduce zone latency.


*** UI ***

- Corrected an issue where your Heroic Character count would not update correctly at the character select screen.
- Increased the default number of available Extended Target Window slots to 20, and removed the alternate ability requirement.
- Added chat messages when cancelling or completing a trade.
- Updated trade chat messaging to include the quantity of items or coin offered. These messages will now display for both the sender and recipient using the System Messages chat filter.
- The aggro meter is now available when players reach level 20 instead of when Rain of Fear launches.
- The Randomize Loading Music setting should now work properly when unchecked.
- When a selected quest advances to a step involving a different zone, the quest journal will now keep the same quest selected.

- Trinket of the Far Frozen Wastes will now teleport you to a less dangerous location.
- Frightening Food Flask and Ashen Ampule will now give stacks of 20 food and/or drink items per use.
- Fixed an issue with "Raediva Nostrum" displaying the wrong lore text.
- Updated the spell Sympathetic Minion attached to Faded Orb of the Magus, Glowing Orb of the Magus, Splendid Orb of the Magus, Brilliant Orb of the Magus, and Radiant Orb of the Arch Magus so that it summons swarm pets.
- Suffix titles for Ogre and Feir'Dal Heritage crates will now show correctly in reward previews.

- Magician - Fixed an error with the body type of pets summoned by Monster Summoning spells that prevented Reclaim Energy from working as expected.


*** AA ***

- Archetype - Sympathetic Amplification - Added a new 7-rank passive AA available to Druids, Enchanters, Magicians, Necromancers, Rangers, Shaman, and Wizards that increases the base effectiveness of spell-triggered magical effects from equipped weapons and augments by a percentage. Rank 1 of this new AA can be purchased at level 80, if the Underfoot expansion is unlocked, and all ranks are eligible for auto-grant.
- Bard - Focus - Troubadour's Synergy - Fixed an issue that prevented Troubadour's Synergy Effect from removing Troubadour's Synergy upon triggering. Also fixed an issue that caused Troubadour's Synergy to interact unexpectedly with Necromancer's Necrotize Ally.
- The Bard and Shadow Knight AAs Funeral Dirge and T`Vyl's Resolve have seen unsustainable growth over the last several expansions. As a result, both spells are now notably more powerful than is healthy for overall class balance. The following changes have been made to bring these spells back in line.
- - Funeral Dirge
- - - Increased the maximum duration of the base spell at max rank to 66 seconds
- - - Made the base spell unresistable
- - - Reduced the incoming melee damage debuff of the base spell at ranks 23-26 to 22%
- - - Increased the fade damage of the Shrieking Death proc across ranks 1-22 to a maximum of 35,000 damage

- - "Overseer" has been added as a new achievement category
- - Achievements in this category are "World" achievements, meaning they can only be completed once per world for a given player account - As a result, all rewards granted by these achievements either apply to every character on a given account and world or can be traded between characters on the same account and world
- New Achievement Types
- - "Special" achievements are for collecting Overseer Agents from outside of the Overseer feature, such as Fippy Darkpaw (more on him below)
- - "Holiday" achievements are for completing seasonal Overseer Quests - The first achievement in this category is for the Scorched Sky event but expect more soon!
- - "Faydwer Agents" are achievements for collecting the current set of non-special, non-holiday Overseer Agents
- - "Faydwer Quests" are achievements for reaching higher levels in each of the main Overseer Quest categories; Plunder, Military, Stealth, Crafting, Harvesting, Research, Diplomacy, Trade, and Exploration
- New Achievement Rewards
- - Achievements for completing Holiday Overseer Quests and collecting Common, Uncommon, and Rare Overseer Agents grant Sealed Tetradrachm Coffers, which are Heirloom items that can be consumed to gain a large number of Tetradachm currency

*** Miscellaneous ***

- Removed ` from character first names and flagged those characters for a name change.
- Corrected an issue with targeting offline characters from the group window.
- Disabled Bloom Lighting by default.
- Added the /memspellslot command which allows memorizing a spell into a specific spell gem slot. The command accepts two parameters: the spell gem slot and the spell's name or ID.
- The client will now always launch in windowed mode rather than fullscreen.
- /tar, /con, and social emotes like /dance and /hug should now work with pet names and %m.
- Added a default of fellowship auto-consent for corpse dragging. This can be changed by setting AutoConsentFellowship=0 under Defaults in a character's .ini file.


*** UI ***

- Fixed the weapon ratio in the Item Display Window to be updated correctly for players below the recommended level.
- Added additional options to /advloot to allow for setting an option for all loot in the window. Example: "/advloot shared setallto leaveall". See the Advanced Loot help window for more details.
- Fixed the advanced loot window getting into a bad state after the /kickplayers raid command is used.
- Updated the Target Window to no longer require Target_HPPercLabel to be present.

*** Highlights ***

- Torment of Velious is now free-to-play on Test and Live servers.

*** Items ***

- Familiars available from the Ogre Heritage Crate will now show a casting bar when being used as a pet illusion.
- The Animated Pawn Familiar is now a more reasonable size when used as a pet illusion.
- The Infected Rat Familiar will now have the correct appearance when used as a pet illusion.
- The Tradable: Teleport Item Key Ring Slot (5) will now only convert if the player owns the Teleport Item Key Ring Slot feature.
- Frightening Flatbread and Ashen Apple Juice are now No-Trade.
- Pliant Purity Peridot can now be slotted into primary, secondary, and range items.
- Currency rewards offered by the Bag of Currency can now be claimed on all server types if the appropriate expansion is available.

- Tome of New Beginnings (Tacvi Raid) - The remains of Prathun, Rashere, Vahlara, and Valtron will now appear in consistent locations.

- Corrected an issue where charmed pets were limited to 10 buffs.
- Berserker, Monk, Rogue, Warrior - Fixed a bug that caused Composite/Dichotomic/Dissident combat abilities to trigger twice upon activation.
- Divine Intermediation and similar spells now report the name of the spell instead of 'Unknown Spell' when triggered.


*** Overseer ***

- New Agents and Quests for Scorched Skies
- - Several new agents specific to the Scorched Skies event are coming to Overseer in July.
- - A new line of event quests are also coming in July, featuring new job and trait combinations exclusive to the new event agents. These can be earned as rewards for completing the quests.
- New Overseer Event Agent Packs will be available during seasonal events.
- - The Scorched Skies Pack, available on the marketplace in July.
- - The Nights of the Dead Pack, available on the marketplace in October.
- - The Frostfell Pack, available on the marketplace in December.
- - These packs each grant 12 agents belonging to their respective events.


*** Progression Servers ***

- Added missing unlock events for the Vaniki server.
- The Berserker epic NPCs will allow players level 36 and up to participate on Level Locked Progression servers.


*** Miscellaneous ***

- Torment of Velious is now free-to-play on Test and Live servers.
- Removed the minimum level requirement to use /autoskill.
- Bug reports (/bug) will now prompt you for information, copy the relevant information to your clipboard, and open up the Bug Reports section of the forums to create a new post.
- Fixed an issue that would prevent a player's Dragon's Hoard from being included in server transfers.

- Added 'Leave All' buttons to the Advanced Loot window for both Personal and Shared Loot.
- Updated the Inventory window to show 7-digit HP, mana, and endurance values.

- The agent of change in Feerrott, South Ro, and Paineel will send you to the 'original version' progression instances until Omens of War unlocks.
- Corrected an issue where the Level Locked Progression ruleset did not apply a 10 level offset when entering Plane of Fear, Plane of Growth, Temple of Veeshan, and Plane of Mischief.
