Double Ascension Week!

Ascend to new levels with Double Ascension Scrolls and Ascension Experience! During this event, you'll receive twice as many scrolls from the Ascension masters and receive twice as much Ascension experience.

This weekend will be the perfect time to work on that alt or catch up with your friends! Double Ascension Week begins Friday, June 9th at 12 AM PT (07:00 UTC) and end Thursday, June 15th, at 11:59 PM (06:59 UTC).

 PROVING GROUNDS

  • Defiler Crystallized Soul, Necromancer Dark Heart, Conjurer Shard of Essence and all priest summoned resurrection baubles should now function in Proving Grounds.

  • Minor adjustments to incoming damage to players in raid boss encounters

Chamber of Rejuvenation [Raid]

  • Corrected a situation where the ritual barrier did not block the "Basilisk Bite" spell.

Vaedenmoor, Realm of Despair [Raid]

  • Vhaksiz the Shade should no longer wipe out the raid if the "panic" script is triggered.

Vaedenmoor: Heart of Nightmares [Raid]

  • Corrected an issue with Baliath's enrage timer causing the duration to become additive over the course of the encounter.

ITEMS

  • The Expert's Sash of Unrivaled Chaos will now grant the correct Potency amount.
  • Petamorph Wand Illusions will now take priority over most other pet illusions.

PROVING GROUNDS
The Nexus Proving Ground has been activated in the Proving Grounds. This zone is a 6 vs Environment match, meaning the only clock you are racing against is the default goal of 20 minutes. Like the PvEvP race matches, you receive a single reward per boss defeated/checkpoint cleared and, with a larger reward for defeating the final boss/checkpoint , and a bonus reward for beating the goal time.

Proving Grounds: The Nexus
Game Type: Race to Completion
Players: 6 v Environment
Confront the threats within the Nexus, defeating each of the arcane constructs in any order, though choose carefully as they are known to appropriate the abilities of the fallen.

Also activated in the Proving Grounds is the first Unranked Match The Underdepths. The Underdepths is a solo zone where you take control of a powerful avatar within the depths of Skyshrine. Unlike the ranked matches, you may not always receive a reward for every boss defeated, as there are multiple bosses in some checkpoints. You do however still receive the one reward per checkpoint cleared, with a larger reward for defeating the final checkpoint, and a bonus reward for beating the goal time of 15 minutes. Unranked matches are currently repeatable every 90 minutes and they do not post to the scoreboard.

You can access the unranked matches from the zone object behind the Proving Grounds scoreboard near loc 21, 1, -62.69

GENERAL
  • You can now hide your ‘Not For Sale’ items when at a merchant.
  • You can now filter the broker by Ascension Classes.
PROVING GROUNDS
  • Most cleric reactive heals have been increased in the Proving Grounds by 30-40%.
FAMILIARS
  • Fixed an issue where Familiars were not properly persisting through death.
TRADESKILLS
  • Mass production crafts will now maintain their quantity when repeating the craft. This option can be disabled in Options [Advanced] > User Interface > Tradeskills > Repeat Craft Maintains Quantity.
POPULATION / ZONE PROGRESSION
General
  • Many Kunark Ascending encounters had outgoing damage that was tuned in line with a bug that allowed some wards to act as potent damage reduction. The outgoing damage on these encounters has been tuned and will continue to recieve daily adjustments over the next couple weeks based on encounter damage logs.
Chamber of Rejuvenation [Raid]
  • The Reet Ritualist should no longer dispel Glacial Freeze.
  • Bursting Spores should no longer attempt to spread to players who already have the spell on them.
ABILITIES
  • Fixed an issue that prevented Manaburn from applying damage in the Proving Grounds.
ITEMS
  • Crusader's Medal's may now be exchanged for Defender's Medal's from Aldaelon Rootbed, Omarin T'Zaana and Gramdur.

PROVING GROUNDS
General
  • The "All Hands on Deck" and "Nature's Fury" incrementing buffs cast by many of the non-boss NPCs in Battle upon the High Seas and Battle for Felwithe now apply 5.0% strikethrough per increment.
Battle upon the High Seas
  • Corrected an issue that granted extra hit points to human Brokenskull pirate's on the blue side.
  • The number of pirates answering Cap'n Ketch's calls has been reduced.
  • Turbulent spirits (drakes) will no longer attack groups not engaged in combat.
FAMILIARS
  • Five new familiars are now available from different merchants around Norrath: Sarya Val'Sara, and Scribbleclaw in Obulus Frontier, Jasper Sodtiller in Kelethin, Naris T'Vaska in Neriak, Durbain in Thalumbra, and Far'Saethe Dom in the Proving Grounds lobby.
  • The Hordemother Vespid Familiar's deaggro proc will no longer trigger on fighters in defensive stance.

Chamber of Rejuvenation [Raid]
  • If the Reet Ritualist gets removed from the encounter a warning message is now generated to avoid confusion.
  • When Massive Jawing is removed any debuff components applied by the spell are also removed.
  • Trakanon’s eyesight has been improved so he no longer attempt to kill already dead players and spam the raid with the message.
  • Players chosen for the specific challenges involved in the Trakanon encounter should more reliably be able to do damage to their respective targets.
  • Trakanon’s summoned challengers should no longer be permanently rooted.
  • Descriptions have been added to Fetid Cloud and Toxic Tempest.
  • Poison Spray should now grow in damage quicker.
  • Using teleport to target type spells or abilities on Trakanon should no longer result in teleporting under the world.
  • Adds in the Trakanon encounter have had their health rebalanced for recent buff package changes.
ABILITIES
  • Ulla's Resolution will no longer heal hostile targets.
  • Most fighter threat snaps are now unresistable.
  • Corrected an issue with wards that allowed some ward types to reduce damage without losing ward amount.
  • Increased critical damage across the board for both Sorcerer classes by between 8% and 17%.
ITEMS
  • Enchanted Slobberjaw Eye may now be used from inventory.
  • Glomalin Divining Rod will now equip automatically when double clicked.
  • Prestigious Wand of Power no longer requires ammo.
Stormhold
  • Several of the red focus adornments available from Kal'Jeketh can now be added to additional equipment slots.
QUESTS
  • Toxxulian Flora collection pieces are now spelled correctly.

PROVING GROUNDS
  • Rewards are now granted upon leaving a match if any were earned by completing objectives.
  • When the 2nd objective is completed (on either team), neither teams' numbers can be reinforced by anyone outside the match.
  • After the first team completes the final objective, the opposing team's group count will be checked periodically. If their group total falls below 3, the match will end.
POPULATION / ZONE PROGRESSION
Vaedenmoor: Realm of Despair [Raid]
  • You should no longer occasionally get spammy messages regarding progression within the zone.
Raids
  • Adds in tier 4 raid boss encounters have had their health slightly increased. It should still be less time to kill adds from previous to update 103.
ABILITIES
  • Adornment Reclamation will now remove orange adornments.
ITEMS
  • Procs on familiars will now be modified by stats.
  • Familiars no longer conflict with Deity pets.
  • Wantia adornments that have been removed from a piece of gear have had their proper slots restored.
  • The Awakened Sedition, Sword of the Bloodmoon now grants Max HP and Armor Mitigation increase.
QUESTS
  • The Siege of Zek: Rise of The Sanctifiers - The enchanted Green Hood vessel in Antonica is now available to non-members.
  • Light of the Destroyer: Adventurers should now be able to help their friends in the final battle, even if they are not currently on this quest. The instance should pull in the group, as long as the quest holder clicks on the entrance.
TIMELOCKED SERVERS
  • Corrected an issue that granted players on the Timelocked server a Tears of Veeshan era hit point buff as soon as they hit level 90. This buff is now locked behind Tears of Veeshan being live on the server.

GU103 Date Change and Bonus XP

We’re grateful for your patience as we worked through some technical issues with our servers. While our fixes seem stable so far, we want to take more time to test and verify our changes before launching GU103: The Menagerie. Since we want to ensure that the launch of our next game update is as smooth and stable as possible, we’ve decided to move the launch of GU103: The Menagerie to Tuesday, May 9, 2017.

To thank you for your patience and support, we’ll be activating Triple XP (AA, Adventure, Tradeskill) for ALL players and ALL servers starting now. This will run until Sunday, April 30, 2017 at 11:59PM PDT (07:00 UTC).

In addition, we’ll be activating Double Ascension Scrolls starting on Monday, May 1, 2017 at 12:01AM PDT (7:00 UTC). This will run through Sunday, May 7, 2017 at 11:59PM PDT (07:00 UTC).

Kander’s Candor - What’s Coming Up In 2017

Greetings Fellow Norrathians!

Just stopping by to give everyone some information on what we have coming this year and some insight on the direction we are going.

Cooperative Competition: Co-opetition!

Come test your mettle in the Proving Grounds. This May we’ll be releasing two new cooperative competition zones that allow groups of up to six to compete against each other in timed races to see who can complete the zones’ challenges first. The fastest times for each round, currently set for seven days, are recorded on a leader board for everyone to ohh and ahh at (and try to beat) until the round ends. The fastest group in each round could possibly win an extra set of rewards, and the acclaim of all their peers. Rewards can be claimed from the victory merchant located in the Proving Grounds lobby. You can bet there will be some Best in Slot items available here to earn for everyone who wants to participate.

Proving Grounds utilize the battleground server technology to allow all players within a region to compete with or against each other. The first of these will be available starting on May 2 with GU103: The Menagerie.

Fallen Gate – New TLE Server

We’re going to be unlocking a new TLE server this year, Fallen Gate. This server will differ from Stormhold, as there won’t be voting and expansion content will open automatically every 12 weeks. There will be an exact schedule for this and you will know exactly what day each expansion will go live. As we get closer to release we will have more information, but we wanted to talk a bit about Heritage Quests on this server. As a benefit for those who play on the new server, so finishing Heritage Quests on Fallen Gate will unlock some cool rewards for your characters on the regular servers. In addition, there are lots of new achievements, titles, and rewards to be earned here for those who are interested.

Kunark Ascending Epilogue Quest

Anyone who has completed their epic 2.0s will have access to this quest and event, which will show them how the story for this expansion wraps itself up (and possibly even some clues as to where we are going). Oh, and everyone who completes the epilogue quest, gets this little gem.
