Square Enix Takes Action, Apologizes
Square Enix has apologized for its handling of a post-update problem that left scores of players wondering whether enfeebling magic had been ninja-nerfed.
The enfeebling issue -- which stemmed from changes in the elemental resistance rates of some monsters -- was addressed in an emergency maintenance held Thursday. Square Enix’s written apology appeared in the update notes that were subsequently posted on the PlayOnline Web site.
“Regarding the elemental resistance issue, we would like to take a moment and apologize for the delay in both notifying players and correcting the issue,” the statement said.
The staff at Allakhazam.com applauds Square Enix for issuing an apology. We hope this marks the beginning of improved openness and communication, which can only serve to benefit the developers and playerbase of FFXI. (UPDATE: Square Enix Responds to the Community on the Allakhazam Forums!)
It is also our hope that our amazing community continues to speak its mind about important issues in the game. As administrators, we will strive to do the same.
