While I do appreicate all our veterans have done for us. I am one of the many who do not get the day off and will be working while you enjoy the day off. The country has so many freaking holidays and my factory job only recognizes the major ones like christmas & thanksgiving so hearing people complain about this type of thing albiet a valid day all it means to me is another lovely day at work. Count your blessing to be off.

My wife and I were planning on playing alot monday because she has the day off. and correct me if I am wrong but Veterans Day is a Federal Holiday. And as a disabled vet this is one of the few games where there are more than a few of us play. And now we will have most of Monday not playing together and then Tuesday we loose most of the day as well and Wed you guys will be fixing bugs most of that day as well. so basically not much playing time this week at all.

Yeah, know what you mean. I learned my lesson back when EOF was released. I think the install, the update, and the patch to the release day update took like 12 hours. All that was followed by a patch to the patch every other day. So after trying out a couple of MMOs, my backups during EQ2 downtime is SWTOR and Rift. Even my toons have the same names and similar skills to make withdrawal a little less painful.

You mean SOE will be, I think... we're not SOE! =)

... and yes, I completely also expect a patch of the patch of the patch after the EQ2 xpack launch. ;)

As for Veteran's Day... I doubt they're trying to be malicious. The maintenance should be done by 11am eastern so that leaves a lot of the day to play still. Extended downtime always sucks but there are worse things in this world.

Just my 2cp as a wife of a disabled Air Force vet.

With Monday being veterans day seems to me that SOE is not taking into account all the players that will be off that day. Way to show support for the people that allowed you to be free to make this game in the first place.

Actually, a surprising number of people do not get Veteran's Day off.
