Just as I thought in my post earlier...

The time for update will be between 2:00 AM and 9:00 AM Thursday morning in Japan... Normal for an MIS team to do server tinkering overnight...

    That link is awesome! Thanks!

Don't forget the mass log-in's the second the update is complete! (Give or take the many people that will have updates fail at 98% or sometime before and be forced to try and update many times, hehe)

I think I better start planning something else to do on Wednesday night now...

    Fresh air!? NOOOOOOOOO... /panic

    ; ; /sulk

(Anyone want to start a thread now about not being able to log on? At least then we can figure out where to look for it rather than having 50 threads dealing with the same issue, hehe)
    Star Wars and other ramblings
    # May 09 2005 at 11:23 AM Rating: Decent
Couldn't they do this during the release day for Star Wars? That's how you plan stuff. :)

Also, I think this update occurs during Japan's wee hours of the morning (+15 hours CDT, and I know because of the 2002 World Cup), which makes sense. The servers are located there.

7 hours of maintenance for this VARP thing. One can only assume that this is what it's for. Seeing as how the VARP thing starts on the 11th. However I don't see why it's going to take so long. Don't expect to play until a day or two after the update.

7 hours (PDT) Let's see EDT makes it 3 hours later, therefore I don't get to run updates till 8:00 at night, that is pretty bad.
    why wednesday!?
    # May 09 2005 at 10:47 AM Rating: Decent
why can't they do these during the wee hours of Sunday night when not many people are playing?
and what happened to doing this at random times?
seems these big ones are happening on wednesday!?

going to post a suggestion to playonline...
