I love the crafting system. It had such depth when the game released and I hope they can find a way to get that depth back into the game.
Depth and Details

I love the depth of variety that comes from an open system where you can level any and everything on one character. It is also a visually impressive game and you can tell in many of the fine touches, like the idle animations for enemies and pets, for example, how much effort Square Enix has put into this game.

My favorite thing about FFXIV is that history has come full circle... the first Final Fantasy was supposed to be the FINAL game for Square as they were in the hole, suffering record losses, and no idea how to turn it around. And the smashing success of that "final" title saved the company... fast forward 25 years... XI is in it's twilight... XIV 1.0 was a terrible failure... SE's approach to making "games for everyone" instead of focusing on the quirky JRPG formula that made us love them... and this all results in the company once again reporting record lows and net losses for the year... then... Yoshida and his team... on a slim budget... against all the industry critics telling them to just can XIV 1.0... rebuild and relaunch XIV:ARR... bringing everything full circle and once again pulling the company up by the boot straps and closing out the fiscal year not only well over they midterm projections... but showing an actual PROFIT for the year where a huge deficit once sat...

XIV:ARR is the once and future king... squares swan song 2.0... and I love it for all of this and more... ♥
What I love about FFXIV!

The community and the content! It's turned from one of the most disappointing games (1.0) to one of the best, well rounded MMO's I've ever played! The graphics, gameplay and community really pulls everything into a nicely packaged game. I can't wait for future updates!

The development team and producers put so much love into FFXIV - and you can tell by the quality of the game. The universe draws you in, and the community is so wonderful. There's always something to do!

This is by far my favorite game, online or not.
Art

The art style is amazing. Don't get me wrong, at some point, the gameplay has to be compelling as well, but for now, I'm just mesmerized by all the detail - and the style - that they've managed to put in something that can still actually run on my computer.
FF baby!

I love FF plain and simple. I'm glad I'm getting back into it again after a good number of years.
Is there anything not to love?

What do I love? It's a classic MMO, with job switching/alts built in, and a great community. What wouldn't I love?
FFXIV CE Contest

I love the fact that this game is developed and run by a group of people so passionate and dedicated to bringing us a quality product that they put aside their pride and apologized when it was bad, and turned the game around into one of the best MMOs on the market. How can you not love a game brought to you by such a dedicated team? It's comforting to know that the game is in such capable and dedicated hands, you KNOW they will listen to what the users have to say, our feedback really means something to them.

After being on hiatus from any MMO after 3 years the FFXIV beta has drawn me back in for sure!

I love most the sunlight. The insane detail and dispersion effects that they somehow magically got into the game blows me away every time I walk through the woods, or around any contrast between sunlight and shade. It's gorgeous, and almost creepy with how real it looks.

That it is close to FFXI, with a few less of the bad things! Smiley: cool

I've met so many wonderful people in this game. So far this is one of the best gaming communities I've been in.

the come back

When a game that was rushed just to hope for a better turnout of revenue is rebuilt from the ground up to become the MMO of the year. One cannot simply ignore it you have to embrace it and love it for how it took lessons from other MMOs put a special twist on them and produced one of the best MMOs I have played in years.

The armory system allows such versatile play to the point where you can rarely get bored. The grand companies and free companies add more to the community than other games. Not to mention how absolutely beautiful Eorzea is now after the realms were reborn.
ARR!

This is the first MMO I have been interested in in years. I like how many different ways there are to spend time in the game. Quests, Fates, Dungeons, Level, Hests...etc.

It also helps that the game is GORGEOUS.

What I love most is the seamless control between console and PC. I love that on the PS4 version you added keyboard and mouse support. Also the game is a lot of fun with a depth that hasn't been seen in a while.

I love the storyline, but more importantly, I love the references in the storyline, both in quest name and during the story itself.

I've seen repurposed internet memes, such as the Levequest, "Ain't nobody got time for rats!", to musical references like the first Warrior quest, Pride and Duty (will take you from the mountain), to subtle one-off lines that reference a humorous passage in A Song of Ice and Fire, to one of my favorites, the George Michael allusion that is the quest to beat Titan Extreme (Quake Me Up Before You O'ghomaro).

Somebody at SE clearly has a wonderful since of humor.
Yay

I love the visuals and the character designs the best I think, though there is so much to choose from.
Why
# Apr 07 2014 at 7:30 PM Rating: Decent
It is a classic game with a history above and beyond anything else brought into an actually good mmo setting. A realm reborn and much better.
What's not to love?
# Apr 07 2014 at 7:23 PM Rating: Decent
The music, characters, roles, monsters, creatures. All in all, I mostly favor the plot, especially how this is a continuation from its predecessor, reborn to meet the needs and wants of die hard fans.
