Here is another report from Tovin at Comic-Con

DC Universe Online is the Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) pride of the Comic-Con week. Not only does their booth in the Comic-Con exhibit hall not have any other game, but last night they held an awesome party at the Belo nightclub, with Superhero images galore, and plenty of super hero talk!

Earlier in the evening I headed over to the SOE booth on the exhibit floor to see convention goers taking a hand at the pre-alpha version of the MMO.

They've stated that they're still attempting to design play for both the PC and PS3, and in fact, both sets of controls were being used interchangeably, though it was often specified that this feature could change at any time.

Your characters start out with powers of Superheroes already in the DC universe, or you can choose to create your own mix and match of skills.

In the tradition of people not liking the way equipment of choice makes their avatar appear, you can make it appear that you're not wearing that epic piece of +100 everything and keep the stat boost!

There wasn't much actual info at the party, and our meeting with the DCUO folks is later on today, so as soon as we have other details, we'll let you know!
