From EQOA official web: Fishing. Players will be able to fish at any body of water to gain food, treasure and the occasional boot. There are some cool details that make the system really unique and fun, but we'll save them for later. It will probably just be like fishing in EQpc where u buy a rod, some bait, and just use an ability Fish at any pod river or ocean. YOu get lots of boots, some food, and the rare treasure if your patient enough. Fishing is cool to have but i really want the other trade skills like smithing, tailoring, fletching put into the game.
