Sony announced when the patch is. To read about it, read below, or view the official announcement here. All EverQuest Online Adventures servers will come down at 3 AM Pacific Time (6 AM Eastern) on Wednesday, April 16th. The estimated downtime is 3 hours. The changes included in this update are: - FISHING: Break out your poles! Gather up some bait! Let's go fishing! There are NPCs in the game (near each starting city) that can walk you through the basic steps of how to begin fishing; you may even find a few quests. - Location sectors: To help travel and meet up with friends we have segmented each area of the world. Now there are 9 possibilities to see before the name of the area: northwest (NW), north (N), northeast (NE), west (W), central (C), east (E), southwest (SW), south (S), and southeast (SE). This location information is found on the right side of the main menu screen. - Targeting system: To help transition in a raging battle with multiple creatures we have adjusted the targeting system. When selecting a new target you will automatically choose live creatures first and then NPC corpses once you have gone through the live NPCs. - Item descriptions: Inspecting items may now reveal more helpful statistics than was previously available. - Report command: In the support menu, under the main menu, you will now have the option to Send Harassment Report. This command will ask you to type in the player name of whom you are reporting, and then it will capture the chat text on your screen and send it to a Customer Service Representative. - Game Card message: Those of you using game cards will now receive a message 10 days in advance informing you that your subscription will expire soon. To continue your subscription you may either enter a new game card or credit card information. In order for this update to take effect on your PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system, it is best to power it down and restart. If your PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system is not restarted you will not be able to connect to the game servers.

I have used both dial-up and DSL after the game has loaded they are the same, DSL seems the load a little faster, Good Hunting and be safe my friends ,, Obee :-)

WTF is up with these f'n servers. They just updated them today and there down again. Boy they sure make me glad I paid for all this down time. I thought a good network admin never let the server go down. Realy tell a lot about there employee's.

If you think Sony is just sitting around scratching their (btw that is the correct spelling to all you dropouts) ***, and shaking their heads saying "Gee we don't know why." then for the love of a game that is unlike anything else available, please delete your characters and quit. It's certain the game community would be better off for it.

Instead of letting you voices be heard you are content to just bend over and take in the ***. We pay for a service, and when that service is unavailable that is not acceptable. I have no problem with the server going down for improvments to the game, but at least make sure they work so that a couple of hours latter you won't have to take the servers down again. That is what is wrong with things today, instead of takeing time to get things right the first time, people rush and half-*** everything. Again, it must be sad being content to let people walk all over you.

Man you just don't get it. You are a spoiled brat without any control, or maturity, to deal with life. When you don't get what you want, and right now, you through a tantrum. Your poor parent's need to get you some professional help, and as for this *** fixation of yours the good news is you might outgrow it in a couple of years when you turn 16.
The one thing you are surprisingly right about is people do rush and quality suffers as a result. For example, companys is spelled companies; letting you voices be heard needs to be, letting your voices be heard; improvments is spelled improvements; takeing is spelled taking.
Grow up, suck it up and move on, hopefully to another game. You don't meet the size requirements for this one, you are way to short (sighted).
Let SOE have all the time they need so it is done right, with quality. So far to date this game, in all categories of performance, is the best available, and just keeps getting better. This game is being built by optimistic people, with constructive, helpful, suggestions and insight. Not spoiled brats that just don't get it.

I have to agree. Kudos for the employees at SOE for putting up with the constant BS that players throw at them. I have the utmos respect for them. I used to tech support for a major DSL company, and I know just a fraction of what they go through.

Besides, when you signed up for the game, you knew there might be interruptions in gameplay. It says so on the TOS you agree to everytime you play the game.

I am positive. A good race's faction will never raise above -1000 with Neriak or Grobb. That's the way the game is designed. I imagine Invis will work, but you will still have to uninvis to get the quest, then you would be struck down as soon as the invis wears off. In addition to that, the NPC probably won't give it to you anyways because you are not on his list to be able to get the quest.

Regardless of why, you, as a Barbarian, will NOT be able to do the Neriak or Grobb Lvl 17 quests.

No, the Highpass quests are desgined for evil races only. It's only fair they get the same amount of lvl 17 quests as light races do.

No, you will never be able to enter Neriak, because you faction with Neriak will never get above -1000. That's just what happens when good races and evil races don't like each other.

There is no way of knowing for sure if they have deleted their characters. Maybe they had enough of you calling it "my" guild and not our guild or they felt their future was brighter else where. As to your question "what is a charter?" you obviously don't own a dictionary so here is what Webster's has to say. Charter: A declaration or document setting forth the aims and principles of a group. You must have missed that year in school when they taught the Charter of the United Nations. Here's just a suggestion put the games down and open up a book.

As far as I have heard, dial-up connections run just as as good as dsl or cable connections.
