To get started in WAR, you have to first select a server.  Doing so can be aggravating for some, while mindlessly random for others. Here are some tips from the developers in helping you choose a server that is right for you.  Also keep in mind that we are currently voting in our forums for the Allakhazam Order and Destruction server selection!

In order to help you get started we wanted to provide a few tips when choosing a server. Currently players can create characters on any server, however, you may be placed in queue aftewards. To reduce the chance of waiting in queue select a server that has a lower population. We'll continue to add servers as existing ones fill up but reduce wait times now and help yourself!

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to Preview Weekend!

This weekend marks a huge success for you and our team. As of Monday, closed beta is officially over and we are excited to be able to welcome all of you here for the last hoorah.

It's been just over a year since the start of Closed Beta and it's amazing to look back and see how far we've come. We are beyond proud of what we have achieved and while there may still be work left to do, we're confident that we will all enjoy WAR together for years to come.

Launch is coming quickly and with your help we'll be ready for it!

Join us for these next three days as you take your first steps in the Age of Reckoning and get your first glimpse at all that WAR has to offer. Engage in RvR combat, conquer your enemies, rally together to defeat public quests, and explore the world around you as you catalog your travels in the Tome of Knowledge. The first two tiers and all six races await you as you begin your journey!

The Herald (http://herald.warhammeronline.com) will be your guide with Server Status and updates. Get to know it as this will be the place to go for all your WAR news and info throughout the years to come. We also encourage you to visit and join the communities hosted by our terrific fan sites. You can find a list of active sites on the Herald.

Also make sure to become familiar with the new player guide, this guide is found within the help section in the game (click on the Help icon at the top of your screen) and will be your best friend as you embark on your early adventures. It's full of helpful information and advice and can answer a lot of questions you might be having!
