Honor and Tokens will NOT be Reset

Blizzard has changed their mind on reseting honor and bg tokens with the release of WotLK! PvPers and BG grinders all rejoice!

We had hoped that the introduction of some new Honor rewards in the upcoming patch would give players a great opportunity to spend any of their remaining Honor. However, many players would still be surprised by an Honor and token reset as it isn't something we've done in the past. As such, we've decided to not reset Honor or tokens upon the release of Wrath of the Lich King. Players who save their Honor will be able to spend it on level 80 rewards, although those rewards will be significantly more expensive than their level 70 counterparts.

What no one realizes, is by complaining they just screwed themselves. The current price is around 15000 for one item (default pvp set). With this, to get around the "well i have max amount" Blizzard will raise the price (as mentioned) to offset it.

Thus, sure you will get one item at the start, but expect them to cost from 30k + instead of 15k+. Thus costing you at least two times the current amount to offset those that have saved.

This way a person that saves for when they get to 80 to have some of the best gear will only be able to actually buy 2, maybe 3 items if they are lucky.

I hope no one else blew a bunch of honor or marks on marginal upgrades when they told us honor would be resetting. Guess I'll have to start doing BGs now before Wrath so I can be on even ground for level 80. I almost preferred it resetting.

Hehe that was probably the idea, make us spend them that way we'll have less and have to work to get more over the coming weeks. But then I'm cynical.
