Aeria Games Holds Virtual Presidential Election
Election Day will be held in the United States tomorrow to finally answer the question of who will be the next president: Barack Obama or John McCain. While the historic race has been featured in all types of media, it has also seeped into the world of MMORPGs.
For example, Aeria Games is holding its own virtual election in Last Chaos. Two packages have been placed in the items mall, one each for Obama and McCain, and the candidate who sells the most packages between Oct. 28 and Nov. 4 will be declared the Last Chaos president.
While you can watch or read any number of news outlets for numerous up-to-the-minute presidential polls, it's interesting to see such an event captured in a virtual world. After all, most MMOs celebrate holidays with huge events, so it seems fitting for large political events to find a place in-game, as well.

As of Oct. 30, Obama was leading with 1,077 packages to 968. Of course, gamers have until tomorrow to purchase the packages, so the race could change in Last Chaos.
Each package contains Chaos Balls, Perfect Moonstones and a Tower Box. Players who purchase the package of the candidate who wins the actual election in the real world will receive a 24-hour 200% pet experience/experience event on Saturday, Nov. 8.
