New Giveaway

Square Enix is providing us with a significant number of beta accounts for our premium members to try out their new MMORPG Final Fantasy XI (The PC version).  I've been playing it a while now and I think you are going to enjoy getting into this beta.  The giveaway is only open to residents of the US and Canada and you need to meet the system requirements, and of course you need to be an Allakhazam Premium Member to enter.  Use this link if you are interested in signing up.  Signups for the giveaway will close on Monday, so be sure to enter now.

The easiest way to fix AOL probs is to get rid of AOL. AOL is a way overpriced service I get dsl for almost the same price as there dial up hmmm 24.95 monthly for slow and dont work most of the time or 27.95 a month for dsl gee whiz I wonder wich is better. Bottom line is dial up sux big time get rid of it and if you on aol high speed (opposed to what aol dial up?) your gettin it in the rear and they dont even have the curtosy to pass you the KY Jelly. that 27.95 a month includes 2 ip addresses so bolth my ps2's are online at the same time without any probs i seldom lag. I use charter pipeline at the house and sbc dsl service at work. In case you are wondering I was once allured by the wonderfull promises of aol they just dont ever deliver on any of em there spam filters are a joke i changed my sound bite that said youve got mail to youve got ****. bottom line instead of tryin to fix your current conn probs avoid em by looking into your local dsl and cable modem providers they are cheaper then you may guess and alot better.

If i may, one more thing aol firewall is a joke it dont exist and never will just like there spam filters its not there your pc is just as hackable with or without it get a REAL firewall.

I signed up for the PS2 Beta for FFXI on the PlayOnline site, receiving no reply...
I wonder if this was because the friggin harddrive that Japan has had for a GAZILLION YEARS still isn't available to US residents.

Haggan, you seem to be having the worst luck lately ... at least Beat-wise. Sorry to hear it. I do have a related question though: Will allakhazam be doing a FFXI site with quests and items like EQOA? Just curious.

It all depends on whether Alla thinks we need a site or not, he's in the Windows beta for it.. and he told me its pretty spiffy, so I dunno, only time will tell.
