Today Turbine has officially announced the launch date of their highly anticipated expansion - Riders of Rohan - for Lord of the Rings Online: September 5th, 2012. And the stuff that comes with it sounds excellent; there will be mounted combat for the first time, allowing you to combat orcs in King Theodin's land. The level cap will also be raised to 85, along with all of the new gear, new weapons, and new Saruman baddies you get to whack on the head. And, in addition to that, the Eastern Plains of Rohan has been touted as the biggest area in LOTRO's history - three times bigger than Moria! Looking good to be a Rings fan this September.
