ArenaNet nerfs Elementalists' unlimited signet and dungeon farming

Are you crying nerf?

The initial burst of insanity is mainly over and we can settle into that regular MMO ebb and flow of fixes and tweaks.

This week, changes come to Elementalists who might be sad — due to the Signet of Air change — that they cannot blind people from orbit. Yet they can be happy that they now have Whirlpool that functions in the water.

We talk about the changes and what we think of underwater combat. Does it live up to the pre-launch hype of making submerged fighting finally fun?

Speaking of underwater, engineers used to be able to launch out of it like a nuclear missile from a submarine, ArenaNethas taken the hilarity of Rocket Boots out of the deep end. Even the funniest bugs have to be fixed I guess.

Perhaps the most controversial alteration to the game is that dungeons can no longer be farmed in the grindy fashion they have been. Is this ArenaNet preventing a valid approach or keeping the sanctity of the game?

Mike Ferguson took time out to talk Dub v Dub. Queues seem to be the main bone of contention. Is this an axe worth grinding or should full WvW maps be seen as a positive? Either way stop shooting me with those bloody arrow carts.

John Smith, possibly the most well known economist in the gaming community, had more to say about the issues with the market and the need to create sinks for the items that are swamping the Trading Post. We talk about the measures taken and some of the mistakes people are making with their loot.

Guild Wars 2 is available on the Mac. What? Out of nowhere OS X users didn’t just get hope for a Mac client, it was dropped on their doorstep with a bow marked “Here you go.” We ponder what could happen next.

Throw in your questions and the scene is set for another cracking show. Join GAMEBREAKER’s Gary GannonMassively‘s Richie “Boggotter” Procopio and Elisabeth Cardy, along with ZAM‘s resident mad Englishman Scott Hawkes, for a swimming in gold edition of GuildCast!
