CCP's 19th free expansion for its space-faring MMO launches an age of discovery

It's the astounding 19th free expansion to hit EVE Online and Odyssey promises to change the way that players see the universe.

Among the many changes coming to CCP's long running sci-fi MMO, the Sensor Overlay system will inform players of deep space anomalies, the clues to content that will make breadcrumbing such an expansive game environment much easier. Which means players will be able to find something to do much closer and much more often.

With DUST 514, EVR and much more on CCP's apparently limitless horizons, Odyssey marks the continued invigoration of the company's biggest success story, while always remembering what makes the game special. As stated in a press release today:

“Odyssey is about revisiting the original promise of EVE Online; a truly massive universe filled with danger, opportunity and wonder,” said Andie Nordgren, senior producer for EVE Online. “Yet the true excitement and drama comes, as always in EVE, from the interaction between players vying to attain the same goals. Odyssey adds fuel to that fire.”
