Path of Exile Open Beta Phase 2

Well I have just the thing to suit your needs. Gear Grinding Games' upcoming action-RPG, Path of Exile, will be beggining its second open beta phase beginning today, June 5th.
With the second half of open beta comes a plethora of new features and additions to Path of Exile, as well as some pretty nasty challenges awaiting the most battle-hardened players in the new "Anarchy" and "Onslaught" Leagues.
Among the biggest features coming to this next beta phase are the two new leagues. In the Anarchy League, an evil corruption has spread to the minds of your fellow exiles forcing them to turn on one another. Throughout your adventures you may occasionally come across one of these corrupted exiles who, in turn, will try and kill you. I guess if they only wanted to hold a conversation then it would be way too easy.
Don't let your guard down around these exiles though, they come equipped with weapons, armor, and abilities that are usable by players; making them deadly opponents. If you manage to defeat one of these exiles you will be rewarded with a magic or greater item for each equippable item-slot. Talk about some good loot--assuming you survive the encounter.
Onslaught League is a league that is designed for players who thought the existing hardcore game-play was too easy. Monsters in this league have further increased attack, cast, and movement speed compared to other monsters. While currently the Onslaught League doesn't contain any rogue exiles, it's possible that they may show up sometime in the future.
In addition to these new four-month leagues, new base items and unique items have also been added to the game. Some of which can be found in the new Anarchy and Onslaught Leagues.
But, what are any of these new features worth without some cool new achievements to go with them right? Well apparently the Path of Exile dev team has heard the community outcry for an achievement system, and they have been listening. While they aren't quite ready to add a full achievement system to the game just yet, they have added a new challenge system for players looking to complete some additional, well, challenges.
These new challenges are available in either of the two new leagues, however some are unique to either Anarchy or Onslaught. Currently there are eight different challenges that are tracked as a player completes them. If you manage to complete all eight before October 8, appropriately, the team will ship you some exclusive real-world loot in the form of a Path of Exile T-shirt.
