EQOA: A new threat descends on Norrath

Aside from the usual bug fixes and such, there is new content being added on March 23rd. Click on read more for info about it :) A new menace unleashes itself on Norrath. A plague is sweeping across Tunaria and Odus infecting all manner of creatures. This new plague seems to be incurable by all conventional means. As the plague spreads, concern grows in the cities and towns of good natured folks over how this vile infection can be stopped. Even bastions of healing, such as temples to Rodcet Nife, the Prime Healer, have been at a loss for a cure. A small glimmer of hope stems from the rise of a new organization - the Healers of Springview. While not able to root out the cause or provide a cure, the Healers of Springview (named for the canyon where their organization's Sanatorium resides) has sent healers to the many cities of Norrath in order to treat those afflicted and provide assistance for the unfortunate victims. What heroes will emerge to combat this new threat? What dangers lie ahead in uncovering the source of this plague and putting a stop to it further spreading? We will have to wait and see... EXCLUSIVE SCREENSHOTS BELOW!!!

I have been away from the game for awhile and when I come back theres this new quest thing with the healers. Well I tried it. I have a lvl 42 Delf Cleric. Talked to the healer in FP. He told me to go to BSI. Went there and that one told me to go to some forest I never heard of, kill this guy and get his ring. I looked up on this site for info and it seems all the people who are doing it are less than lvl 40 or higher than 50. And with this quest changing per lvl range...it sux for me.

When I did this quest, I found both of the infected dire wolves close by in the SW part of Tomb of Kings, and to find the goblins, just swim straight north up the river. I had 1 goblin on each side. They conned white to me at 26 or 27.

Quests for good races level 20 and under can be found at the following towns:
*Highbourne/Qeynos -
Lvl 1-12? Plague Crazed Villagers
Lvl 13-20 Diseased prisoners at the prison.
*Freeport -
Lvl 1-12? Plague Crazed Villager
Lvl 13-20 Diseased Deathfist orcs.
*Halas/Moradhim -
Lvl 1-12? Plague Crazed Villagers
Lvl 13-20 Diseased Freezeblood at the Freezeblood Village east along the river.
*Fayspire/Klick'Anon -
Lvl 1-12? Plague Crazed Villagers
Lvl 13-20 Diseased Taereg Bandits.
The mobs for levels 13-20 take a little while to respawn and I've only seen one at a time so you have no choice but to wait.
Reward is 65K xp and for levels 1-12? Molding Cheese (2) or for levels 13-20 Boiled Reptile Egg (2) which is a stackable (50) all/all level 14 food. These quests (for 20 and under) are repeatable.

For good races levels 21-30, I have found the following two quests:
In *Bastable Village you are asked to slay diseased dire wolves (I found these in TOK zone (N) close to the road by that hill with the T-stone on it; when I helped some friends with it the wolves were in the SW of the zone... it took a verr long time to find just two of them) and plague crazed goblins (found along the river running north from Bastable).
Reward is 500K xp and a Springview Valor ring level 25 all/all LORE Power 60 and AC 45.
There is another quest in *Blakedown where you hunt diseased mist wolves (found north of Blakedown by the undead pit) and plague crazed gnolls (located in the Blackburrow zone SW - not too far from the hill with the gnoll casters on it.)
Reward is 500K xp and a Springview Honor ring level 25 all/all LORE HPMax 40 and Power 40. This ring is better than the Valor ring imho.
The mobs for both of those quests con dark blue to level 29.

There is another quest for level 30 that I found in Highbourne with my pally. As I'm sure you know, there are some new npcs around, some of them being widows. At lvl 29, I had tried talking to Widow Yourg in HB (by coach), but she wouldn't talk to me. After I turned 30, she gave me a quest. I'll post more after I complete the quest. ;)

For the level 31-40 quest, the giant swamp slime is located in Stone Watchers zone. We found two slimes in the central part of Stone Watchers. The other four we found in the north part, just after leaving the central part. Two were close together and as we took one, the other came up and jumped us. They fall easily and they con yellow to a lvl 35.

As soon as I find out any more, I will post it.

Happy Hunting and good luck!! ;)

I just wanted to offer my 2 experience. I just finished the quest in bastable with my 29 Spongebard. I got 500k xp and springview ring of valor pow60 ac45 level 25 all/all. The only infected wolves I could find were no where near a road. If you follow the eastern road from bastable northeast toward seark tower, then climb the mountain range south of the road and cross it (the mountain range) at it's most northern point you are approaching the Tomb of King's (c) but not in it yet. Another way is, when standing on the mountain ridge north summit, you can see seark tower, just run due south from the tower area, into the valley and plateau south of the mountain range. The wolves roam like Bloodmaw in Halas 17 quest >:( ,so having a sow giver helps. Basically running around in the vally conning until I got the "infected dire wolf" light blue to 29 bard. The second one was found a little farther south from the first one around a green lighted hilltop with one of those druid "T" stones and a fallen log. I ran the entire zone north/south from outside the valley on the bastable side of the mountain range and saw none.

The Infected goblins were much easier to find even though they were dark blue at 29. simply follow the river at bastable north until you can just start to see the spires on the north horizon. Stop and con either side of the river. There are several of them roaming both sides of the river. Frightningly easy compared to wolves.

Hope this helps. BTW, it didn't cure the dam pox :'( lol
Good luck! :)

Ya, I had trouble finding them as well. I found them in the central area of Tomb of Kings, East of Bastable village. If you follow the road east, you will see them from the road in the Tomb of Kings region. They con dark blue to level 26 and appear one at a time. So once you kill one, you'll have to keep looking for a second one. Hope this helps. Happy hunting!

The Springview Healer for levels 50+ is at Black Swan Inn as Trickinkixx said in his post. I have also seen a lot of level 45's hanging around there so maybe they get their quest from the same SH as the 50's?

I helped some 35's with their quest. The FP Springview Healer told them to go to MTG and speak with the SH there. (This is the one where you slay the giant slime ball things. Directions for it are posted down the thread.)

For my 29 pally, I was told to go to Freeport (by bank). I was then instructed by the Sprinview Healer to travel to Bastable Village and speak with that SH (by the blacksmith). (This is the quest for diseased dire wolves, found in TOK zone close to the road by that hill with the T-stone on it. Plague crazed goblins are found along the river running north from Bastable.) Reward is 500K xp and a Springview Valor ring level 25 all/all LORE with Power 60 and AC 45.
There is another quest in Blakedown where you hunt diseased mist wolves (found north of Blakedown by the undead pit) and plague crazed gnolls (located in the Blackburrow zone SW - not too far from the hill with the gnoll casters on it.) Reward is 500K xp and a Springview Honor ring level 25 all/all LORE with HPMax 40 and Power 40. This ring is better than the Valor ring imho.

Quests for good races level 19 and under can be found as follows:
*Highbourne/Qeynos - Diseased prisoners at the prison.
*Freeport - Diseased Deathfist orcs.
*Halas/Moradhim - Diseased Freezeblood at the Freezeblood Village east along the river.
*Fayspire/Klick'Anon - Diseased Taereg Bandits.
The mobs take a little while to respawn and I've only seen one at a time so you have no choice but to wait.
Reward is 65K xp and Boiled Reptile Egg (2) which is an all/all level 14 food. These quests (for 19 and under) are repeatable.

As soon as I find out any more, I will post it.

I was with two lvl 35's (warrior and rogue) helping them with the quest. We found two slimes in the central part of Stone Watchers. The other 4 we found in the north part, just after leaving the central part. Two were close together and as we took one, the other came up and jumped us. They fall easily and yes, they con yellow to a lvl 35.

Plague quests

A new disease spreads across norrath. We must help the springview healers fight these creatures and assist in the finding of a cure.

In turn, quests are given to the players aid the healers to cure the plague.

I finshed my quest. got 14mil xp & Class specific item.

Level 50+ quest- You start in Darvar manor (BSI). The quest giver (springview healer)is near the blacksmith down the road from coach.

You then get sent to Envar Temple. The item drops of The jar (they float, kinda look like a geanie)guys at the bottom of the building. They see through invis and are a little hard. A 60tank/healer are advised. You need 2 stones for this part. Return to darvar..

2nd part- Goto rathe mountains again. Get a port from a druid/wizard. There is a body of water near where the port takes you. In the water is a hidden cave. follow that all the way through the cave. You end up coming out in a water that slows you down. Kill the nomad earth/fire elemental(roamers). Get 1 no trade lore item off each of them. Return to darvar manor.

3rd part- Goto erud's crossing. Surrounding the "moots" camp are these air/water elementals. They spawn all over the island and are very rare. usually 8 minute spawns. killing wildlife seemed to help them spawn in your area. Gather 1 no trade lore from each element and return to dm

Receieve your reward.

Theres a new quest. It comes from the springview healers.
Its not easy as each level range is sent to a differcult place.
Example: My 55 war is sent to the Tomb City of Envar (raid type place in south Rathe Moutians, not a easy place)
I must be slow...

This game rocks, and this coming from a LONG (1984) time computer gamer. I hope FFXI doesn't make this place obsolete. I've got FFXI on pre-order, though... About the Resolution issue... if I get a better TV, the game'll look better? Hmmmm......

I believe it's because these screenshots are taken from the PC monitors SOE uses when troubleshooting/playing the game. A computer monitor has a far higher resolution than your television screen, hence the added clarity to their health bars, etc.
