GW2 is a bad example
# Aug 11 2013 at 1:40 PM Rating: Decent
As far as GW2 goes, AN forces a character's level down to the max level in a given region they wander into, there is no choice there. And since the character is at the max level of the region and better than average gear, they can still go around slaughtering mobs faster than a lower level player who is trying to attack for quests.

Also, shared credit does not kick in unless a character does a fixed percentage of the damage and the majority of the time, any character who is in the region that is max level will kill a mob before the lower level character can do that fixed percentage of damage. Therefore, they do not get any of the shared credit for the kill.

All of that happens often and since it is a common occurrence, I fail to see why people keep hailing GW2 as any kind of good example for anything. The problem stems from more than just "that one guy."

GW2 is nothing but a glorified button-mashing arcade game that barely qualifies as an MMO. GW2 has yet to even fully implement any decent guild features, there is zero fluff in the game like housing, guildhalls, mounts, and the zones are extremely small.

Overall, the point is I seriously hope Carbine does not try to use any bad examples from GW2.
