WildStar Wednesday: Dominion Arkship Destiny

All aboard the Arkship Destiny. Whether you're going on vacation or going to conquer a planet, the Dominion travel in style.

This week's WildStar Wednesday is all about the Dominion as we take our first look at the starting zone awaiting players of this mighty empire. For the Dominion!

"Be a part of History! Sign up today to go to Nexus, homeworld of the gods!"

If you've been paying attention to WildStar at all, then the discovery of the fabled Planet Nexus shouldn't be breaking news. However, that doesn't mean that Exile and Dominion forces alike aren't scampering left and right to try and be the first to claim the planet for their own. While we have yet to see how the Exiles will enter the planet's orbit, the Dominion seems to be riding in style aboard the Arkship Destiny.

The Arkship itself not only serves as an iconic Dominon ship but, in this case, it will also serve as the starting zone for new Dominion players. Upon awaking from Cryosleep after your long journey to the planet, players will be greeted by Dominion representatives who proceed to prepare them for the trials that lay ahead on Planet Nexus. As expected of a luxurious ship of the Empire, complementary refreshments, masseuse services and even a Vigilant Church to help bolster and spread faith, will be available to Dominion travelers. You might even bump into some of the more notable Dominion citizens such as Artemis Zin and Toric Antevian.

Lastly, before you set foot on Nexus players will also be gifted with a complementary Datachron and taught how to use it. The datachron helps keep track of all the important information that you may uncover upon reaching the planet's surface, so if you're a lore nerd like me, this will quickly become your best friend.

Of course, for all of the veterans out there, you'll be given the option to jump head first onto the planet should you wish skip your time aboard the Arkship. But come on, they have free drinks and masseuse services. Why would you pass that up? With that being said, something tells me that I shouldn't hold my breathe for my Exile brethren to be gifted with the same services—considering half of us don't even have a planet to go back to. Wishful thinking.
