BlizzCon 2013 Round-Up!
Here are some of the highlights from Blizzard's game announcements.
BlizzCon 2013 is over and this year’s event will be remembered for many reasons. Not only did Blizzard announce details of the next World of Warcraft expansion, Warlords of Draenor, but information was also released on future plans for the immensely popular Hearthstone, due to go into open beta next month.
Blizzard’s long-anticipated MOBA, Heroes of the Storm, finally heads for closed beta with an exciting selection of engaging battlegrounds and an array of characters taken from multiple Blizzard games. Let’s take a look at the highlights:
World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor
- Level cap raised to 100
- New continent with 7 zones
- 6 new dungeons and 2 new raids
- Boost a character to 90
- Garrisons
- New ‘Mythic’ raid difficulty for groups of 20 players
- New inventory system and UI
- Team levelling
- Lots of hero skins representing Blizzard’s favourite characters
- Engaging battlegrounds as well as PvE maps
Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft
- Future card expansions
- New adventure mode
- New ranked gameplay with month-long seasons
- Golden heroes and new spells
- New collectible card backs
- New Adventure mode
- New Crusader class
- ‘Bounties’ to work like daily quests
- Nephalem Rifts
- Groups and clans feature
- Level cap raised to 35
- Extension Mods added
