12 Days of Gaming: Twelve Raiders Raiding
Flexible raiding just got more flexible in World of Warcraft.
With Flex Raiding proving to be more popular than Normal in World of Warcraft, it came as little surprise when, at Blizzcon, Blizzard announced its intention to apply Flex scaling to both Normal and Heroic difficulties (10 and 25).
To put it simpler, raid structure in the next expansion, Warlords of Draenor, will look like this: LFR, Normal Flex, Heroic Flex, with a new ‘prestige’ difficulty added called ‘Mythic.’ Mythic difficulty does not scale and is for a pre-made group of 20 players.
Players voiced concern over the future of their guilds with this incoming change, but Blizzard seems confident at the ability of its players to adapt, due mostly to the ongoing pairing of realms causing the pool of raiders on any given realm to increase sufficiently for dedicated 10 man raiding guilds to find new recruits.
Also, while we’re on the topic of raiding, the in-game raidfinder (yes, that’s a thing) has been upgraded to accommodate cross realm raiders looking for a group. All in all, the future of raiding in WoW is looking pretty good, but what do you think? Do you feel the changes will affect your guild adversely, or will it come as a boost?
