With a powerful dark mage like this, you'll be glad you have enemies.

In recent news, Snail Games has announced the latest class for its upcoming MMO, Black Gold Online. If you take forbidden magic and mix it with the power of steam technology, you'll be left with a devastating dark mage class known as the Conjurer.

Banished from other lands, Conjurers seek refuge within the land of Isenhorst where they can continue practicing their dark magic. In combat, these deadly mages are best utilized on the back lines where they can safely cast devastating spells, curses or even summon terrifying creatures to thwart their enemies. Because they are so susceptible to damage, Conjurers work best in a group where they can provide long-ranged DPS and crowd control while their allies provide cover.

Some of the classes signature abilities include:

• Stricken Soul: The Conjurer’s incantations rip the very soul away from their adversary. Ranged casting of effective area, causes triple repeated DPS.
• Spectral Unleashing: From its ancient prison the Conjurer releases a frightful demon, thrashing at nearby enemies three times, each time stunning them and lifting them into the air. Short range DPS with repeated damage.
• Swarming Spirits: The Conjurer summons a wave of the departed to rip into their adversaries. Conjurer wields this force causing damage and stunning all enemies within a 5 yrd radius.

Since these dark mages sound like they could either make powerful allies or deadly enemies, my advice would be to get on their good side and make sure you stay there.

Moving away from conjuring up dead creatures and the like, Snail Games also dropped the start date for the Black Gold Online "Alpha Test Drive". The Alpha will begin on March 20th and will only be open to those who have received an invitation. If you've already recieved a key from last year's E3, you can activate it here. Otherwise if you'd like a chance at winning a key, the team wants to offer an extra shot at doing so to those who take the time to fill out this Alpha Test Drive survey.

It would seem that the Black Gold Online campus is ramping things up a bit, which means the battle between magic and technology may soon be at hand.
